1960 Les Paul Special Double Cut Reissue

The Gibson Les Paul Special debuted in 1955 as a single-cutaway model. Aside from the Sunburst Standard produced from 1958 to 1960, it was the last variation to appear among the original 1950s Les Paul models. Developed as a higher-end model than the Les Paul Junior, it featured two P-90 pickups for increased sonic versatility. Furthermore, it boasted a bound fretboard and a mother-of-pearl headstock logo, resulting in a more refined design. In 1958, the body shape was changed from single-cutaway to double-cutaway, improving access to the upper frets. In 1960, the neck profile was changed to a slim taper profile and the neck pickup position was repositioned, further enhancing playability.

We are pleased to announce the release of the Epiphone 1960 Les Paul Special Double Cut Reissue, a faithful reproduction of the rare 1960 Les Paul Special Double Cut, as part of the Inspired by Gibson Custom series.
This model features a flat mahogany body and a double-cutaway design that provides excellent access to the entire fretboard. The one-piece mahogany neck has a 60s slim taper profile for smooth playability and is fitted with a rosewood fretboard, 22 medium jumbo frets, and mother-of-pearl dot position marker inlays. The 12-inch radius fretboard provides comfortable playability from playing low chords to bending in the higher register.

The Gibson-style open-book headstock is fitted with Epiphone Deluxe 3-in-line tuners (with white buttons). A Graph Tech nut enhances tuning stability. A historic-style wraparound bridge (with intonation adjustment screws) ensures reliable transmission of string vibrations, producing the rich sustain characteristic of the Les Paul Special.

The electronics feature two Gibson Custom USA P-90 soapbar pickups, capable of producing a wide range of tones, from sweet and clean tones to raw and dirty sounds. Each pickup is hand-wired to its own volume and tone controls. High-quality CTS potentiometers and Bumblebee paper-in-oil capacitors create a captivating, vintage-inspired tone that will impress even the most seasoned players.

We've just received some recommended used items!
This guitar shows some minor scratches, pick scratches, small scratches on the pickup cover, small dents in the original paintwork, and some tarnishing on the parts, but none of these affect its playability. It has undergone full maintenance and cleaning at our shop, so it's ready to use immediately.
The octave set screw on the 6th string side has been replaced with a black one. The rear volume knob has also been replaced. There are some cracks inside, but there are no issues with its current use. (Original parts are not included.)

The frets have been leveled and are ready to use. Approximately 85% of the fret life remains.
The nuts are in good working order and function normally. The truss rods also function correctly for normal adjustments.

The electrical system has also been fully checked, so there are no problems with its operation.

The weight is approximately 3.24 kg. It's lightweight and has a well-balanced design that makes it easy to use.

The only included accessory is the Ibanez gig bag. The zipper hook is broken, but it can still be opened and closed.
The original hard case that came with the product when new is not included.
