Description
Description
By blending an effected sound with a clean signal, you can create a crisp, focused distortion, turn a pitch shifter into a harmonizer, or explore new ways to use a compressor.
The One Control Minimal Series Mosquito Blender Trail with BJF Buffer is a pedal designed to take guitar and bass sound shaping to a new level.
The DRY and WET signals can be controlled individually and mixed, allowing for fine-tuning of the tone. Each knob provides unity gain at its maximum setting, so depending on the connected pedal, it can also be used as a signal boost.
Then, by turning on the TRAIL switch, you can bypass effects such as delay and reverb while retaining their reverberation, or continue playing while the oscillating effect sound continues to play.
The PHASE switch inverts the signal phase, allowing for a natural mix without phasing out the sound, even when mixing with effects that invert polarity. Alternatively, you can intentionally create a phasing out effect to achieve a more unique sound.
The pedal features a BJF Buffer switch on its side, allowing you to apply a BJF buffer to the input.
●BJF Buffer
The BJF Buffer overturns the common perception of many buffers, offering an overwhelmingly natural feel.
- Set the gain to exactly 1.
- Ensure that the input impedance does not alter the sound.
- Avoid making the output too strong.
- Minimize noise as much as possible.
- Ensure that the sound quality does not deteriorate when overloaded.
The BJF Buffer, which meets BJF's meticulous requirements for a buffer, is used by many professionals around the world to help optimize their guitar signals.
The blender circuit splits the signal into two, outputting one to the effects loop and the other to the output. Therefore, the blender circuit also has a buffer, and the buffer within the circuit is still active even when BJF Buffer is set to OFF.
While many effects become stronger the later they are connected, buffers have a greater effect on effects connected earlier. This is why incorporating a BJF Buffer into the input section is important. By turning on the BJF Buffer, you can stabilize the overall tone into a warm and natural tone.
●Controls - DRY: Adjusts the volume of the dry signal (input signal) within the range of 0 to 100%.
• WET: Adjusts the volume of the wet signal (the signal in the effects loop) within a range of 0 to 100%.
- BJF Buffer: Switches the BJF Buffer ON/OFF.
• TRAIL: Configures the trail setting. When set to "on," the signal from the RETURN terminal will be mixed even when the blender is bypassed.
PHASE: Reverses the polarity of the signal. Listen to the actual sound and set it to the one that is closest to the desired sound.
*When the footswitch is turned OFF, only the dry signal is output. This is not true bypass.
*The PHASE switch inverts the phase, so switching it while sound is playing may produce switching noise.
