FAQ

Description
A rare NB5 with a set neck and a thick quilted maple top of 5A grade has arrived! Recommended for those looking for a user-friendly passive 5-string guitar.

Sugi Guitars is led by Makoto Sugimoto, one of Japan's leading guitar designers.
Sugi's signature sound, which makes the most of the natural texture of the wood, has earned high praise from professionals and amateurs alike, across all genres. Now, it is recognized by international artists as one of Japan's leading high-quality custom basses.

The body top is made of quilted maple with a superb figure, which would now be considered the highest grade such as 6A/7A. The body back is made of Fijian mahogany, grown in Fiji from seedlings of Honduran mahogany, a high-grade wood that has been used in musical instruments for centuries. For the neck, it uses high-quality maple wood selected from wood including 1000-year-old trees handled by Aqua Timber, which had been submerged at the bottom of the Great Lakes for over 100 years. This maple is lighter than current maple and boasts about 10 times the density. By assembling it with a cocobolo fingerboard and a set neck joint, it ensures a clear and tight sound image in the low frequencies with excellent attack. The original single-coil pickups and passive circuit provide a straightforward and uncolored sound that is easy to use and can be used in a variety of styles. Despite the easy-to-play 34-inch (long) scale, there is no lack of low B.

There are no noticeable scratches, the neck condition and truss rod function perfectly, making this a recommended choice even for those looking for a brand new guitar.
If you're looking for a versatile 5-string guitar that's suitable for various genres, be sure to check this out!
