The following is quoted from the new product page.

A live solution tool for high-end acoustic guitarists.

The AD-10 is an acoustic preamp designed for high-end guitarists who are particular about the sound of their electric acoustic guitar in live performances. The AD-10 reproduces the details of an acoustic guitar with high-quality sound, and allows for sound shaping through simple operation using the knobs on the panel. The input circuit features a thoroughly low-noise design that transmits signals from onboard preamps and piezo pickups with high quality, and has two input systems compatible with both piezo and magnetic pickups. Furthermore, it enables high-quality sound shaping through features such as acoustic resonance to reproduce the natural "sound" of an acoustic guitar, a compressor with MDP processing, and a 4-band EQ optimized for acoustics. Sub-parameters for meticulous tone shaping and dedicated effects such as ambience are also provided. Additionally, it features two notch controls and a reduction function with minimal tonal alteration to prevent feedback. The two stereo outputs (XLR and standard) allow for various output settings to suit different live performance situations.

◆ High-performance preamp designed specifically for electric acoustic guitars ◆ Two inputs compatible with both piezo and magnetic pickups. Gain settings are available for each.
◆ Acoustic resonance function that reproduces the warm, rich, and natural "sound" of the guitar ◆ MDP compressor that provides natural and musical compression suitable for arpeggios, etc. ◆ 4-band EQ that is the basis for tone adjustment optimized for the sound of an acoustic guitar
◆ Sub-parameters that allow you to achieve your desired tone and settings.
◆ Ambience and delay/chorus for rich sound ◆ Anti-feedback features a notch filter and a reduction function that minimizes sound degradation ◆ XLR stereo output terminal with ground lift function ◆ LINE OUT terminal for output to headphones or monitor amplifiers ◆ Looper function with up to 80 seconds for loop performance ◆ Features an intuitive knob-operated manual mode and a memory mode to recall saved settings.
◆ Power source: AA alkaline batteries and AC adapter.

Its capabilities as an acoustic guitar preamplifier
The AD-10 features two inputs to accommodate various situations. It can connect to guitars with two pickups (piezo and magnetic), and allows switching between two connected guitars. Each input has its own customizable input gain and EQ settings, and a boost function allows you to adjust volume differences between fingerstyle and strumming, or solo performances, with a single button. Outputs include standard jacks and stereo XLR connectors. A ground lift switch allows for direct connection to a PA system. Furthermore, the output offers various options, such as pre- and post-input outputs, or separate outputs for each connected guitar.

For sound creation
The AD-10 features an acoustic resonance function that reproduces the raw, full, and natural sound of an acoustic guitar, which is often lost due to pickup characteristics, on the live stage. It also incorporates a compressor using the unique and advanced "MDP" technology, which responds to the range and dynamics of phrases, providing a consistently natural playing feel and sound. This next-generation compression effect is matched to all acoustic guitar playing styles. Furthermore, it includes an ambience function that adds a high-quality spaciousness while preserving the delicate resonance of the acoustic guitar, and familiar delay/chorus effects, all of which are powerful tools for creating impressive sounds. Each effect pedal delivers a high-quality sound optimized for acoustic guitars. In addition to the knobs on the panel, sub-parameters are also available internally. For example, the "EQ" section allows you to change the Q of the MID, adjust the tone of the booster function, select the type of acoustic resonance and adjust its tone, enabling you to create a customized sound.

Various functions optimized for live performances: To combat feedback, which is essential for live performances, it is equipped with a reduction function that specializes in the low-frequency range prone to feedback. With minimal change in sound quality, feedback can be effectively suppressed simply by turning the knob. In addition, it is equipped with two notch filters that can automatically detect feedback points, allowing for powerful feedback removal. Furthermore, a looper function that allows for loop recording/playback of up to 80 seconds is also available to enhance performances such as singing and playing, enabling real-time performances at any time. By connecting a footswitch or expression pedal to the external control terminal and assigning various functions, you can customize the operation of the unit to your liking.

To enhance usability, the utility unit's operation is based on a simple manual mode that provides tone changes linked to the knob position, and also includes a memory mode that allows you to recall and play up to 10 pre-saved memories. It also features a built-in BOSS-quality tuner with a mute function, enabling comfortable live settings by preventing sound leakage between songs and noise when switching guitars. The AD-10 is also useful for recording. When connected to a PC via USB, it functions as an audio interface, allowing you to create music with high-quality acoustic guitar sounds. It can run for up to 6 hours on 6 AA alkaline batteries, and is also compatible with an AC adapter.
