Description
The Sonisfact VOS-80 is an analog pedal that combines two classic green analog overdrive sounds into one unit.
Featuring a 6-band EQ that can be placed before or after the overdrive circuit, it greatly expands the tonal range and offers endless possibilities. Furthermore, blending a clean signal with the overdrive enhances the body and attack of the tone.
The HIT control functions as a signal boost/cut before the overdrive circuit, and also as an independent boost/cut without turning on the OD side, allowing for flexible control of dynamics in live performances.

The "Nashville" is modeled after the Nobels ODR-1, and the "Texas" is modeled after the Tube Screamer. The instruction manual describes these two as very famous "green" overdrive pedals.

●VOS-80 Tone Tips
• EQ PRE (before the overdrive)
This affects the signal that goes into the overdrive, allowing you to adjust the tone before it reaches the gain stage.
For example, if you want to change the tone of your guitar, place an EQ before the overdrive and adjust the EQ fader to your liking. Also, boosting or cutting specific frequencies before the gain stage will affect how those frequencies distort when they reach the overdrive.

• EQ POST (after overdrive)
Placing the EQ after the overdrive pedal adjusts the frequencies after the signal has already been distorted, resulting in a more pronounced tonal change. This effect will be particularly noticeable with high-gain settings.
EQ posts are typically less noisy than EQ preamps. While the VOS-80 uses ultra-low noise components, placing the EQ after the overdrive reduces the potential for noise to be amplified when boosting frequencies.
Overall, it allows for quieter and cleaner tone shaping.

• If you're using a tube amp (or digital amp simulator) as your main overdrive tone and the VOS-80 as a boost, start by setting the OD DRIVE low and gradually increasing the OD VOL to find the optimal boost point. Alternatively, try adjusting the CLEAN VOL and HIT controls to experiment with different tonal nuances.
*Boosting the output of a digital amp simulator may overload circuits such as the ADC. In such cases, please keep the pedal output relatively low.

• Setting the HIT fader low and turning on the HIT footswitch will produce a "cleanup" effect.
