The "BK" signature model is synonymous with KenKen, who is active in various projects, including famous bands. It is well known that the background to the creation of the signature model was KenKen's desire for a "24-fret version of the M#245," which he was fond of using Atelier Z's flagship model, the "M#245." Equipped with the Bartolini/XTCT circuit also installed in the M#245, and with the addition of an MCT375 middle control, this model embodies KenKen's meticulous attention to detail. While retaining the powerful sound quality of the Magnitude, this model boasts a wide tonal range and diverse sound control that responds to KenKen's versatile playing style. This particular instrument is a bargain used item from the era when it was equipped with Badass II bass bridge and features the infamous unmarked tuners.

With its 24-fret design, the cutaway is deeper and the body is slightly smaller than the M#245, resulting in a quick and responsive sound. The ability to achieve a solid, resonant acoustic tone even with low string action is a welcome feature unique to ATELIER Z. It delivers excellent articulation for slap bass, and a well-defined bottom end for fingerstyle and pick playing. In addition, it features a Bartolini/XTCT preamp. Its effective and clear tone control, along with its bright and strong tone, allows for the creation of a wide range of expressive sounds. Furthermore, the inclusion of the MCT375 mid-controller further expands the sonic versatility. Compared to the similar "Beta4" model, it gives the impression of producing a robust sound with a bored-out feel. This model also features an ATELIER Z original bridge, and the punchy, tight tone and rich sustain produced by the weight-rich bridge are also appealing. Finally, the 4th string tuner is equipped with a D-tuner for one-touch drop D tuning.

While there are some dents and scratches, the neck and electronics are in good condition, and the frets and truss rod have plenty of life left, making this a player's condition guitar. There is a slight creaking sound from the D-tuner, although this does not affect its functionality, and the 3rd string tuning peg has been repaired and no logo is present. The strap pins have also been replaced with current Schaller type pins (strap-side hardware is missing). Don't miss this great deal on a rare artist model used guitar.
