Phoenix, a brand by TUNE, a long-established workshop of Japanese component manufacturers, specializes in meticulously crafted specifications and custom models. This is the BOMBERBASS, a JB-type model from Phoenix. It is characterized by its fat sound that sets it apart from other active JB-type models. Its capabilities have earned it the approval of young and veteran bassists, and even those admired by famous artists, as it outputs a bass sound that they will love.

This guitar features a slightly more compact body design compared to typical JB models. The body is made of traditional ash wood. For the top, we received recommendations from CEO Kanda, and the staff personally selected a high-quality 5A quilted maple. The large quilted grain is finished in a see-through pink, which further accentuates the shadows. The 1-piece maple neck and ebony fingerboard produce a fat sound image, creating a rich tone with a powerful attack and a nuanced reproduction of even the most delicate touches. This guitar also possesses a sound well-suited for "slap" playing, another signature style of the TUNE brand.

The combination of the Bomber Bass' "BB-1" pickup and CLE-1 preamp delivers a punchy, tight bass sound that's pleasing to the ear and resonates beautifully. Beyond its excellent responsiveness to touch, the clear, twangy, and moderately "wild" tone, while maintaining its presence in an ensemble, is solid enough for rock music as well.
