Description
This is the Mele strap, a domestically produced, handmade strap that combines design and functionality, supervised by ukulele player Sho Naito.

It uses "paracord," which is lightweight and extremely durable, and is also highly valued in outdoor gear.

Because the case does not use large metal hooks or other fasteners, there is less worry about damaging your precious ukulele, so you can use it with peace of mind.

Each strap is meticulously hand-woven, and the stylish color variations add a touch of elegance to your ukulele.

[Regarding installation method and length adjustment]

Neck (head) side / Neck heel side: Two mounting methods are possible to match the specifications of your ukulele.

To attach it to the headstock: Pass the loop-shaped string under the strings on the neck,
You can easily and securely fasten the strap by threading it through the loop using a "lark's head knot" (the same knot used for smartphone straps, etc.).

You do not need to prepare a separate head strap.

If your ukulele has an end pin on the neck heel: It can be attached directly to ukuleles that have a pin on the neck heel side.
In that case, we recommend securing the string to the pin at its shortest length, and adjusting the length at the end of the lower part of the body.

Lower part of the body (endpin side): The "knot" at the end of the paracord braid is designed to slide within the range of the cord.
By changing the position where the endpin is clamped (3 patterns), you can fine-tune the length to your liking.

*When using a knot to secure the pin, make sure to tighten it firmly to prevent it from slipping out.

Total length: Approximately 110cm (Paracord braided section: Approximately 70cm / Cord sections at both ends: Approximately 20cm each)
Width: Maximum approximately 20mm
Thickness: Approximately 8mm
Adjustment range: Approximately 80cm to 100cm (Note: Approximately 10cm of length will be used when tying the string to the head.)
*If the length is insufficient even when extended to its maximum length, we recommend using it in conjunction with a commercially available head strap.

Items with “USED” in the product name are pre-owned and will be delivered as shown in the photos. Signs of wear may be present. All items are function-tested by our staff and rechecked before dispatch.

■ Stock

Many products are stocked across Ikebe stores in Japan. As a result, shipment may take several days. In-store sales may also cause items to sell out. If an item is unavailable, we will contact you promptly; in that case, the order will be canceled and any payment will be refunded.

■ Shipping

We use DHL Express for shipping.
Asia: 10–20 days (estimated)
North America and Oceania: 20–30 days (estimated)
Shipping costs are calculated based on the shipping address and will be finalized at the time of shipment.

■ Taxes & Duties

There are no additional charges beyond the total payment amount displayed at checkout.

We cannot declare a reduced item value or mark purchases as gifts.

Our product warranty is valid only within Japan.

All electrical products are intended for the Japanese market and are designed for 100 V operation.
