Description

This is a well-maintained model of the legendary fingerstyle guitar "S-101 III," equipped with high-performance "BACNT" pickups from Enfini Custom Works!

Regarding the condition of this instrument, there are some minor scratches around the soundhole, but no other major scratches or dents.
In terms of playability, it's very close to brand new, and you can enjoy playing it comfortably.

The S series, which was released in 2001 as a dedicated fingerstyle guitar, gained popularity for its high playability and outstanding sound tailored to the style. Among the S series, the most popular is by far the legendary fingerstyle guitar "S-101 III," and this is a modified model equipped with a contact piezo pickup by Anfini Custom Works.

Anfini Custom Works' dual pickup systems are handcrafted one by one to match the unique characteristics of each guitar.
"I want to produce a powerful palm sound using the slap technique..." "I want to fully express the delicate nuances of a beautiful, melodic solo guitar..."
This guitar is designed to meet the needs of fingerstyle guitarists.

◆The legendary fingerstyle guitar "S-101 III"◆

This "S-101 III" is the third-generation model of the S-101, which is particularly popular within the S-series due to its all-around ease of use.
This guitar features a Grand Auditorium/Deep Round body, a solid Sitka spruce top, solid Indian rosewood sides and back, a mahogany neck, and an ebony fingerboard and bridge.
The unique rounded back design maintains a well-balanced frequency range while delivering a rich and full bass.
Furthermore, thanks to the improved bracing and internal body structure compared to the previous model, the sound has more power while also having increased airiness.
With its long scale length providing exceptionally stable pitch even in drop tuning, Gotoh tuners, a 44mm wide nut that prevents finger fatigue during intricate fingerings, and an ultra-thin neck shape, this guitar is packed with features that perfectly meet the meticulous demands of fingerstyle guitarists, making it a reliable companion.

◆Infini Custom Works' dual pickup system is incredibly powerful for fingerstyle playing◆

To faithfully reproduce the superb tone of the fingerstyle-specific "S-101 III" even with a line output, it comes equipped with a dual pickup system of contact piezo and magnetic pickups, which is extremely effective for fingerstyle playing.
This type of dual system is adopted by many fingerstyle guitarists, including Andy McKee and Kotaro Oshio.
By blending the raw, authentic acoustic guitar sound obtained from a contact pickup with the thick, forward sound characteristic of a magnetic pickup, it's possible to create a raw yet full-bodied line sound that's perfect for fingerstyle playing.

The contact piezo uses "Enfini Custom Works R-Zero Contact Pro BACNT".
This is an original contact pickup, handcrafted and installed by Mitsunori Fujioka, the representative of Anfini Custom Works, a company renowned for producing some of the industry's leading acoustic guitar pickup systems. Each pickup is tailored to the specific characteristics of the individual guitar.
This instrument is equipped with the BACNT (Bacant) pickup, a bass-enhancing type that is suitable for techniques such as slap playing.
Thanks to its extremely lightweight design, it delivers a natural acoustic sound, powerful bass, and palm sounds without compromising the guitar's natural resonance.

It features RCA pin female and stereo endpin jacks, allowing for easy installation of additional magnetic pickups.

This pickup system is a passive dual-pickup configuration and therefore requires connection to a preamplifier.
This guitar does not come with cables, a preamp, etc. We can also provide guidance and suggestions regarding peripheral equipment and how to use it effectively.
Furthermore, it is possible to install a similar pickup system on your existing guitar. Please feel free to contact Hartman Guitars for more details.
