Taylor has become a manufacturer that now boasts a large market share worldwide. The 800 series is produced as Taylor's flagship model.

Taylor's top-of-the-line 800 series features a Sitka spruce top and Indian rosewood sides and back—standard wood materials for acoustic guitars—but uses only the finest, carefully selected materials.
The 814ce, with its grand auditorium cutaway shape, is a model characterized by its excellent sound response, clear tonal definition, and rich volume and bass range.
Furthermore, it features V-Class bracing, and combined with the ultra-thin paint finish, this model boasts a well-balanced tone across a wide range, along with a clear and rich sound.

V-Class bracing was unveiled at Winter NAMM 2018 and is a completely new bracing pattern newly developed by Taylor's young master builder, Andy Powers. While X-bracing has long been a standard in acoustic guitars and is still used in many guitars, including other Taylor guitars, the new V-Class bracing produces a richer volume and longer sustain, making it more suitable for the modern music scene.
Structurally, the design is carefully engineered to ensure that string vibrations are transmitted efficiently throughout the top wood, resulting in increased vibration. This design enhances volume and sustain, as well as improving intonation accuracy. While maintaining the fundamental strength of the top, it also possesses a richer, clearer sound and sensitivity that responds to even the most subtle picking nuances.

The neck is constructed from tropical mahogany and ebony. Taylor uses this ebony, which has a smoky pattern, and while jet-black ebony is highly valued and used, the mottled parts have traditionally been discarded. However, there are no issues with the strength or sound of this wood, and Taylor actively uses it.
The neck grip has a comfortable, slightly triangular, soft V-shape that naturally fits the hand, providing a pleasant playing experience regardless of playing style. The neck is a part of the guitar that embodies Taylor's commitment to woodworking and consideration for the player.
Furthermore, other specifications include an elbow cut that enhances playability, abalone inlays on the fretboard, and purfling on the body, all of which, combined with the warm, woody feel, create an elegant look.

This model combines a highly playable body shape with Taylor's unique technology, and the new V-Class bracing delivers a more nuanced sound, opening up new doors and possibilities for the player.
