Originating from the legendary 000-42 played by Eric Clapton on 1992's "MTV Unplugged," this model has garnered strong support from a wide range of players, including fingerstyle, blues, and singer-songwriters, for over 30 years, establishing itself as a flagship instrument representing Martin.

The body features a solid Sitka spruce top and solid Indian rosewood sides and back. In addition to the comfortable fit and excellent balance characteristic of the 000 size, the 24.9-inch short scale provides a soft tension that results in a pleasant playing experience.

The sound boasts an exquisite balance, combining the rich overtones and deep bass characteristic of rosewood with the quick response unique to the 000 size. This high-quality system, combining an under-saddle piezo and a condenser microphone, faithfully reproduces the acoustic resonance and rich harmonics, naturally outputting the original sound of the 000-28EC in live performances and recordings.

Furthermore, an additional strap pin has been added to the neck heel, improving usability when playing while standing. This makes it not only a collectible but also a practical instrument that can be actively used on actual stages.
