Description

Recommended player-condition used item!
A Les Paul Custom, positioned as the top-of-the-line model in the Les Paul series, featuring a full 3-pickup + Bigsby configuration, is now available as a recommended player's condition used item! Manufactured in 2006.

The guitar of choice for real men: the Les Paul Custom!
Standard just won't do! Only a custom version will get you there!! The Les Paul Custom is a model so beloved that you can hear such passionate voices from custom guitar fans!

The legendary 1957 Les Paul Custom, with its striking looks, continues to captivate countless guitarists. It's now becoming increasingly rare on the market. This particular arrival is a recommended player's condition used Historic Collection 1957 Les Paul Custom 3PU Bigsby with an all-mahogany body.

The Les Paul Custom, which debuted in 1954, began to feature humbucker pickups, commonly known as PAFs, around 1957. This 3-Pickup+Bigsby model boasts a full-spec configuration reminiscent of guitars from the same era! Given the timeframe, it's likely that all three pickups are Burst Buckers.
Only the front pickup has a BB#1 sticker, and the center and rear pickups are original but do not have stickers. However, it is likely that the center pickup is a BB#1 and the rear pickup is a BB#2.
The gold-colored parts, multiple layers of binding, and diamond inlays give this guitar a luxurious and elegant feel, truly deserving of the description "a guitar that suits a tuxedo."

Unlike the later 1968 and 1974 models, the 1957 Les Paul Custom features an all-mahogany body. While it lacks the attack of a maple-topped guitar, its all-mahogany construction gives it a rich, warm tone that is a defining characteristic of this model.

The neck section features a mahogany neck with an ebony fingerboard. Ebony fingerboards, now a rare material and trading at extremely high prices, produce a sharper and tighter sound than a standard LP, creating a masculine tone with good clarity even when the gain is turned up, without the sound becoming too muddy, as is typical for HM/HR! It's also popular among those who like to distort their sound with a hard edge. Grover tuners are selected.

The rich, harmonic tone produced by the Bigsby tremolo system is highly effective even in ensembles!

Nowadays, the jet-black ebony Les Paul Custom is strongly associated with female rock musicians, thanks to the "Bocchi the Rock!" phenomenon. However, in the Showa era, the 3-pickup Les Paul Custom used in the early days by legendary guitarists like Keith Richards and Jimmy Page, and the 2-pickup version, were considered sacred instruments of rock music used by the hardcore mentai rock musicians!
Led by Mr. Makoto Ayukawa, who could be called Mr. Les Paul Custom, along with other formidable players such as Hiroyuki Chigi of THE MODS and Nobuo Tani of TH eROCKERS, the guitar they played with great force was an ebony-colored Les Paul Custom!

However, as the era changed from Heisei to Reiwa, it's deeply moving to see how the black Les Paul Custom has come to be used by so many different people.

We've just received a recommended player's condition used item! It's a 2006 model.
While there are some minor scratches and dents throughout, buckle marks on the back of the body, overall paint discoloration and tarnishing, pick scratches on the pickguard, cracks throughout the neck binding, and tarnishing on the gold hardware, it's a guitar with a great character! None of these affect playability. We have performed a full maintenance and cleaning at our shop, so it's a highly recommended guitar that you can use right away.
The frets have been leveled. It is currently usable, but the frets are quite low. Approximately 35% of the fret life remains.
The next time the frets wear down, we recommend having them replaced at a repair shop. The nut is currently in good working order. The truss rod is also functioning normally. (Note: When replacing the frets, the nut will also need to be replaced. The neck area of this product is not covered under warranty.)

The electrical system has also been fully checked, so there are no problems with its operation.
The weight is approximately 4.64 kg. While it's on the heavier side, the balance is such that it produces a solid, focused sound.

Accessories include the original black hard case and key, serial number tag, and Japanese instruction manual.
The certificate is currently out of stock.
