[K/Z HiHat]
The "K/Z HiHat" is a hi-hat combination that was widely used in the 1980s and early 90s, led by Dave Weckl and Akira Jimbo.
The top hi-hat is the K-series, which delivers a warm, dark sound and a moderately prominent stick tone.
For the bottom end, we've set up a Z-series Dynobeat hi-hat, which delivers a very heavy sound with sharp definition and clear definition.
The exquisite combination of these two elements resulted in a hi-hat that achieved both expressiveness and a sharp sound, becoming immensely popular in the rock, pop, and fusion scenes of the time.
The 13-inch size produces a tight and clear stick sound, with particularly excellent crispness in the tick sound.
This particular cymbal features a top cymbal from the IAK era, a K Zildjian, and boasts a brilliant finish, making it a very rare combination.

-Zildjian IAK-
This cymbal is believed to have been manufactured sometime between the 1980s, when K Zildjian's production base moved from its Canadian factory to its American factory, and around 1993.
Because Zildjian has always kept pace with music trends, this period after relocating from their Canadian K factory was a transitional time in which specifications were subtly changing.
K Zildjian watches manufactured between approximately 1988 and 1993 are commonly known as IAK (Intermediate American K).

Compared to current products, it is characterized by rougher and larger lathing and hammering.
It delivers a solid tick and stick sound, and in half-open to fully open positions, it produces clear highs and rich bass.
This particular model features a brilliant finish, making it extremely rare to find.
Along with brilliant overtones, the sound appears slightly gentler and mellower than a standard finish.

-Z Series-
This is the first generation "Z" series, which was manufactured from 1986 to 1993.
In 1993, it was relaunched as the "Z Custom" series, and its explosive, bright, and loud sound was well-received in the loud music scene.
The newly introduced computer hammering technology and heavy weight setting at the time resulted in explosive volume, quick response, and a powerful, expansive sound.

It was primarily used in metal and hard rock, and at the time, it became fashionable among rock, pop, and fusion drummers to use this cymbal as the bottom cymbal for the hi-hat.
