First of all, you'll be captivated by its irreplaceable looks! But what's even more amazing is that it's not just the looks; it features a 9-ply through-neck construction using a combination of mahogany and walnut for the neck material, showcasing Gibson's pride in being at the forefront of technology even back then. The mahogany body, which is bonded to the neck material, is not joined to flat surfaces, but rather has a "V" shaped joint. This attempt to increase the contact area in a through-neck, which tends to produce a cold sound, and enrich the body's resonance, remains a major factor in producing a tone that is still impossible to imitate!

This used 1965 Firebird V that we have in stock was manufactured in 2001. It features a unique body shape, a long vibrato with leaf springs, and, as it is a "V" type, it is equipped with Gibson's traditional Tune-O-Matic ABR-1 bridge. The sound, as you would expect from a Custom Shop product, has a resonant body feel, and it faithfully reproduces the crisp tone of the mini-humbucker that is characteristic of the Firebird! The effort to enhance the body's resonance is a major factor in producing a tone that remains unmatched even today.
The Firebird's unique features, not found in other models, include mini-humbuckers that offer both crisp sharpness and a rich, full tone. Similarly, the Maestro vibrato, with its brilliant shine, exudes an outstanding presence—it's incredibly cool! The moderate string tension and leaf spring structure add a crisp accent to the sound, resulting in an edgy tone!

The banjo pegs, with their knobs positioned on the back of the headstock, are still present here! It's easy to see why the "V (Five)" is the most beloved model in the Firebird family, a family that boasts a variety of unique features!

Beyond its very rock-and-roll look, this model boasts an easy-to-use sound that blends seamlessly into band music! If you're playing with someone who owns a Firebird-type model, everyone will sense that they're no ordinary musician! Recommended for band members looking for a guitar that exudes a special aura!

We've just received a recommended used item! It's a 2001 model.
There are some minor scratches, nicks, small dents, scratches on the back of the body, and signs of aging and tarnishing of the paintwork and parts, but overall it is in fairly good condition. None of these affect playability. We have performed a full maintenance and cleaning at our shop, so it is a recommended instrument that you can use right away.

The frets have been leveled and are ready to use. Approximately 80% of the fret life remains.
The nuts have been adjusted. There are no problems with current use. The truss rod is also fine for normal adjustment.

The electrical system has also been fully checked, so there are no problems with its operation.

The weight is approximately 3.85 kg. It has a balanced design that produces a solid, focused sound.
