The ORIGINAL series inherits the basic structure of vintage guitars while incorporating modern updates throughout. This lineup embodies Mr. Momose's manufacturing philosophy of "bringing out the natural resonance of the wood through processing tailored to the individual characteristics of each material." This highly popular model is packed with Momose's signature specifications, such as a heel cut with a recessed joint plate, wood binding, and an original headstock.
◆The 'MT2' model features an ash body. While inheriting the traditional TL style, the 'MT' is an original model that has been refined by Momose in its own unique way.
Each instrument is handcrafted by skilled artisans at the Asuka factory, from woodworking to painting and assembly. Its exquisite craftsmanship results in exceptional playability, earning it the support of top players both domestically and internationally, offering unwavering quality that only Japanese-made instruments can provide.
The MT2 features an ash wood body and offers a wide range of options, including oil finishes that highlight the natural wood grain and see-through colors.
◆Improved playability in the higher positions: The 'MT' model has a wider horn section on the higher string side compared to a typical TL type.
This improves playability in the higher positions, and allows players with large hands to comfortably ascend to the higher frets.
◆Waist Contour Processing: The area where the guitar rests against your waist when you hold it has been contoured. This improves the fit to your body, allowing you to enjoy playing for long periods without stress.
◆Recessed joint plate design: While employing an orthodox plate joint that brings out the ideal sound, the recessed design of the plate further enhances playability.
◆Wood binding to prevent fretboard problems: The sides of the fretboard are made of wood binding made from the same material as the fretboard. This not only provides a smooth fretboard surface but also prevents problems such as fret burrs popping out after years of use.
◆Wide-width rod adjustment: The uniquely shaped headstock features a wide adjustment hole that allows for smooth neck adjustment.
