Description
Starclassic Bubinga Snare Drum
Bubinga wood has become a popular material for not only drum shells but also musical instruments in recent years. This wood has a dark tone and rich mid-low range, setting it apart from other woods, and is molded slightly thicker than Starclassic Maple.
This powerful, full-bodied sound is a warm, solid sound that stands out on stage, and is a MADE IN JAPAN snare drum that boasts an overwhelming presence that won't get lost in the sounds of other instruments.
The African bubinga shells are molded to a slightly thicker 8mm to deliver a solid attack and rich mid-low range. They are perfectly matched with the die-cast hoops, resulting in a powerful and balanced sound.
●Shell (8mm 9ply Bubinga)
Bubinga, a wood native to Africa, has a very sharp, aggressive attack and a deep, full acoustic character. We molded this bubinga slightly thicker than maple to maximize its sound characteristics. The abalone inlay on the center of the shell also adds a touch of luxury to the instrument.
●Minimum Shell Contact
The mark is not a metal badge, but a transfer emblem that is painted into the shell paint. The mount-less design, including small lugs and maple air hole caps, minimizes the load on the vibrating shell.
Die-Cast Hoops
The highly rigid zinc die-cast hoop keeps the contact surface between the head and hoop perpendicular at all times, allowing for sensitive tuning even with critical tuning. Another major attraction is the powerful sound with a clear fundamental tone.
●Linear-Drive Strainer
This strainer has succeeded in minimizing the noise that occurs when the snare hits the bottom head, even when the lever is moved quickly. The structure ensures that the snare fits securely against the head without putting any extra strain on the shell or strainer.
●Detachable Butt Plate
By removing two bolts on the strainer butt, you can remove the snare from the shell while maintaining tension on the snare cord, making snare side head replacement much easier.
●Hold Tight Washer
The combination of a stainless steel washer and rubber ring prevents tuning from loosening during performance. The elasticity of the rubber ring absorbs the impact of the shot, keeping the hoop and tension bolt in constant contact, preventing tuning errors caused by shell vibration.
