The AZ series, a new standard model for the next generation of guitarists, was created with the concept of providing a versatile clean tone.


◆Rosewood fretboard with Stainless Frets
For the first time, rosewood has been used in the AZ series, known for its balanced sound character and warm tone. It is the perfect material for the AZ-N, which is being developed with a focus on clean tones that can be used in a wider range of genres.

◆Compound Radius (228mm to 305mm) Fretboard
The compound radius fingerboard was adopted to accommodate both deep chord forms in the lower positions and lead playing on the higher frets.

◆Seymour Duncan Fortuna pickups w/dyna-MIX 9 switching system
Compared to the Hyperion pickup, which was co-developed with Seymour Duncan specifically for the AZ series, the Fortuna pickup, developed for the AZ-N, aims for an even more natural clean tone that can handle a wide range of genres and allows for easier expression of playing nuances. It is a medium-output pickup that also takes into account compatibility with various pedal effects that can be used depending on the situation.
It employs the dyna-MIX 9 switching system, which, when combined with the Alter Switch, creates nine different sound variations, including a mode that wires the two single-coil pickups in series.

◆Non-recessed bridge cavity
Unlike conventional AZ models, the top of the body has no recess. Because the bridge plate and the guitar body are in direct contact, it features improved expressiveness of dynamics, enhanced reproduction of playing nuances, and superior resonance.

◆5 tremolo springs w/muting rubber
It features a five-spring system that more effectively transmits string vibrations to the body. A rubber spring mute is installed to suppress spring resonance.

◆Gotoh T1702B tremolo bridge
The AZ-N model is equipped with the T1702B tremolo bridge, which features brass saddles and an inertia block that are characterized by a warm, bright tone and excellent resonance.
The string spacing is a narrow 10.5mm, designed to make it easier to pick across strings, a feature demanded by players who frequently use string skipping and hybrid picking.
Furthermore, it features an arm socket that allows the use of Ibanez Edge tremolo arms and ultra-light tremolo arms (carbon fiber/UTA20/sold separately). Unlike conventional arms that require twisting, the arm can be attached with a snap-in mechanism. The torque of the tremolo arm can be easily adjusted by rotating the torque cap on the arm mounting part. In addition, it comes standard with a stud lock mechanism that firmly secures the studs with grub screws embedded in them, greatly contributing to tuning stability and resonance.

◆AZ Oval C S-TECH WOOD Roasted Maple 1pc neck
The neck is made of maple wood treated with S-Tech nitrogen heat treatment technology. S-Tech treated wood has characteristics such as shape stability, resistance to warping, water resistance, and resistance to temperature changes, and is a patented technology in Japan.

◆Luminlay side dot inlay
These 3.0mm diameter phosphorescent dot position markers offer high visibility, adapting to the rapidly changing performance environment due to lighting and other factors. You'll never lose sight of the notes you want to play, even on a dark stage.

◆An ergonomic body back contour
This is an original body shape designed with a contemporary aesthetic in mind.
The thin body contour and large elbow contour create a sense of unity between the player and the guitar, greatly contributing to improved playability. The deeper waist of the body also improves handling when held and on stage, resulting in superior playability. The different radius of the corners on the front and back of the body create an ergonomic design that feels comfortable the moment you pick up the guitar, whether sitting or standing.

◆Super All Access Neck Joint
The Super All Access neck joint features a stepped carving on the back of the body with an 8mm height difference, and the neck joint is finished with a spherical surface to achieve superior playability.
The cutaway on the bass string side is designed to be shallower, maximizing the contact area between the body and neck. This achieves both high playability and excellent sustain and resonance.

◆Bone nut
We used oil-impregnated cow bone nuts.
The smooth nut design significantly contributes to tuning stability, while also achieving a resonance similar to that of vintage guitars.

◆Gotoh Magnum Lock machine heads w/HAP
It features Gotoh Magnum Lock machine heads, which are renowned for their tuning stability.
It features a HAP (Height Adjustable Post) mechanism, allowing you to adjust the post height and achieve the appropriate tension for each string.
