Description
Description
By decomposing the input signal and reconstructing it using a unique algorithm, it produces a variety of musical and playful sounds.
By intentionally reducing the frequency resolution of the instrument, the algorithm generates resonant oscillations based on the input signal, enabling a wide range of unique effects, from rhythmic lo-fi glitches and auto-arpeggio-style tones to ambient synth pads.
The Atomic Cluster has two main controls: the ATOMS knob and the SPEED knob.
Adjusts the number of simultaneously occurring resonant oscillations, controlling the processed signal from full-bandwidth to monotone.
Increasing the number of oscillations will produce a more natural tone that is closer to the input signal, while decreasing the number will produce fewer oscillations, resulting in a pixelated, glitchy sound.
<SPEED>
Adjusting the rate at which the oscillation updates controls the timing and rhythm of the effect: slower settings can create rhythmic effects like a stepped filter, while faster settings can create more random, chaotic effects.
SPEED can also be set via tap tempo, and the VOL and BLEND controls allow you to adjust the output level and wet/dry mix balance, respectively.
Switch between SHARP and SMOOTH modes to select the oscillation change characteristics.
In SHARP mode, the oscillation switches instantly, creating a more immediate and rhythmic effect.
On the other hand, in SMOOTH mode, the oscillations smoothly overlap each other, creating a richer, more ambient sound.
A unique algorithm reduces the frequency resolution of instruments, generating resonant oscillations directly related to the input signal. ATOMS: Sets the number of simultaneous oscillations. SPEED: Adjusts how quickly the algorithm updates the oscillations (supports tap tempo).
