Description

A contemporary model of the Les Paul Custom!
A rare left-handed guitar made in 2024 has arrived!

Gibson Custom Shop was established in 1984 with the goal of creating the finest electric guitars using carefully selected materials and hardware, based on manufacturing techniques cultivated over many years and an insatiable spirit of inquiry. Today, the Custom Shop lineup, based on artisanal handcrafting techniques and a thorough knowledge of vintage instruments, is unrivaled in its exquisite craftsmanship, making it the perfect beloved instrument that will endlessly inspire the player's innermost inspiration.

Although production of the Les Paul Custom ceased around 1960, it regained popularity in the late 1960s when it was seen in the hands of top musicians. Production finally resumed in 1968, along with the Standard. While retaining the design from 1960, the body construction was revised, adopting a plain maple top and mahogany back, and changing from the three humbuckers prevalent in the 1950s to a two-humbucker configuration. The result was simple operability and a sound character with a very distinct, edgy character even when distorted, which is now known as the signature tone of the Les Paul Custom.

While the basic structure remains the same as that of modern Custom Shop guitars, this model also features a 9-hole weight relief. Weighing approximately 4.35 kg, it delivers a rich, full-bodied tone worthy of the Custom name. The fingerboard features lustrous block inlays made of ebony, while the solid mahogany neck offers a slim, grippy profile. The pickups are 490R/498T. Boasting high output among Gibson pickups and capable of producing a hard, rich tone, these pickups faithfully reproduce the character of the Gibson Les Paul Custom mentioned above.

In terms of the condition of the individual guitar, there are a few small scratches, some tarnish on parts, and loss of plating, but no deep scratches that would detract from its aesthetic. The frets are still about 80% tall, and there are no issues with the neck or electrical system, so this guitar is sure to be a long-lasting companion. Don't miss this opportunity to customize a left-handed model, which is rarely available!
