Description
Description
The "WJB," a standard model in the Bacchus Universe series, has been redesigned with a multi-scale specification.
While retaining traditional features such as the pickguard and control panel, and inheriting the smart look of the WJB, this guitar also offers the advantages of a multi-scale design, such as the tension of the 5th string Low B and the ease of drop tuning.
• Multi-scale model: Multi-scale refers to a structure that combines multiple scales. This model employs a design where the 1st string is 34 inches long and the 4th string is 35 inches long, with the scale length increasing in stages. This creates a firmer tension in the lower strings, allowing you to play with just the right amount of tension even when using down tunings such as drop D.
This bass achieves a consistent tension throughout by using a 34-inch string length for the treble strings, the same as a standard bass. Furthermore, the design maintains a similar aesthetic to conventional basses, making it easy for those accustomed to playing a regular bass to use without feeling any discomfort.
These features make it a reliable entry-level instrument for multi-scale systems.
• Active circuitry: Equipped with a 2-band EQ that allows adjustment of treble and bass frequencies. This active circuitry allows for more detailed sound shaping, enabling tone design tailored to genre and playing style.
- Single string bridge
To accommodate the multi-scale design, a single-string type bridge is installed, allowing for individual setting of the scale position for each string. This independent bridge achieves a balance between tension and playability.
*When changing strings on this model, please choose long-scale strings.
• Features stainless steel frets, known for their wear resistance and clear tone. The jumbo-sized frets allow for smooth fingering and extended sustain, making it suitable for a wide range of genres.
- Heel-less cut: This entry-level model features a heel-less cut, allowing for smooth fingering even when playing on the higher frets. The bushing bolt area has been slightly contoured to enhance playability.
Roasted Maple Neck: Roasted maple is a type of maple wood that has been artificially treated to mimic the state of aged wood by heating it at high temperatures to evaporate the moisture and oils within the wood. Wood that has undergone aging becomes less prone to warping and twisting. When used in a neck, this effect extends not only to stability but also to the sound, producing a rich, resonant tone and a mature, aged vintage sound. While this material is generally used in high-end models, we have succeeded in making it available at an accessible price point.
*The degree of color change due to roasting and the grain of the maple wood may vary from piece to piece.
