Description
Description
This is a guitar that was shipped around 1975. As you can see, it is a left-handed model. There are very few old left-handed models, making this a rare one. There aren't many black models from this period either, which makes it even rarer.
【body】
The overall weight is approximately 5.2 kg. The body is made of ash. While a standard color for this period, the black color is rare, and the fact that it's left-handed further exudes its rarity. The distinctive weather-checking effect of the thick skin finish, typical of this period, reveals dents with peeling paint, sticker marks, finger rest movement marks, cracks in the pickguard due to age, and tarnished metal parts. While relatively clean, the signs of battle lend it a depth that modern relic processing simply can't replicate. The finger rest has been replaced, and the metal covers are missing.
【neck】
The neck and fingerboard are made of one-piece maple. It features a three-point neck joint and a micro-tilt neck (adjustable neck joint angle). The crack caused by the truss rod compression near the first fret has been repaired in-house, and the entire guitar has been oversprayed with a clear finish. The tuners have some slight variations in winding tightness, but they function well. The frets and nut have been replaced in-house, and playability is excellent. The headstock is 14.2mm thick, and the nut width is 38.6mm. The neck profile is characterized by its narrow width, typical of an A-neck, yet still sturdy.
[Electrical system]
The controls are standard jazz bass wiring (2 volume/1 tone). The internal control components are also in excellent condition. The slightly heavy ash wood, typical of the mid-1970s, gives this guitar a tight, firm low end, crisp attack, and excellent mid- and high-end clarity. Slaps produce a crisp, clear attack, while fingerpicking produces the distinct, hard sound typical of jazz basses of that era.
