The "EAD10" consists of a main unit (sound source) and a sensor unit that integrates a microphone and trigger. By attaching the sensor unit to the bass drum hoop, it enables high-quality acoustic drum sound capture and sound processing such as adding effects. Furthermore, using the iOS app, you can easily enjoy recording high-quality performance videos, doing simple editing, and uploading them to video sharing sites.
1. Achieve professional-level miking with simple setup. The EAD10 sensor unit consists of an XY stereo condenser microphone and trigger unit, specially tuned by Yamaha engineers. When mounted on the top of the bass drum hoop (as shown in the attached photo), it allows for high-quality monitoring of the entire drum set with natural balance and localization.
2. Monitoring/recording high-quality acoustic drum sounds The drum sounds captured through the EAD10's sensor unit can be clearly monitored through headphones, and can also be recorded to the main unit's internal memory or a USB memory stick for playback. It also features an AUX terminal, allowing you to connect a portable music player and simultaneously monitor both the player's playback and the high-quality sound captured by the microphone while playing.
3. A variety of effect sounds that expand the possibilities for drummers. The EAD10 allows you to process drum sounds by applying your preferred effects to the "audio signal" captured by the sensor unit's microphone. It can also capture "trigger signals" from the sensor unit's trigger, allowing you to add trigger sounds to bass drum hits. The EAD10 main unit features over 30 effects, including reverb and delay, and over 750 trigger sounds. In addition to 50 preset scenes combining these effects, you can customize and save up to 200 of your own unique scenes. Adding a variety of sounds to acoustic drums expands the expressive possibilities of drumming. Furthermore, it boasts excellent expandability, allowing you to integrate separately sold drum triggers and DTX electronic drum pads.
4. High scalability through integration with the free iOS app "Rec'n'Share" We offer the iOS app "Rec'n'Share". Simply select your favorite song from your library, and the app will detect the tempo and add a click track. It also features tempo change and repeat playback functions, providing powerful support for drum practice. Furthermore, by using the app on an iOS device to shoot videos, you can easily create high-quality performance videos captured with the EAD10, and perform mixing, basic editing, and uploading all within the app.
This application requires your iOS device and the EAD10 unit to be connected via a USB cable. You can use Apple's Lightning-to-USB Camera Adapter to connect your iOS device and the USB cable. Rec'n'Share can be downloaded for free from Apple's App Store. Apple is a registered trademark of Apple Inc. in the United States and other countries.
