A high-quality used 2025 model of the JAPAN Studio Elite HD, arguably the main model of James Tyler Japan, inheriting that great legacy, has arrived! It features a beautiful quilt maple top and an optional white limba back!

James Tyler Guitars Japan started when James Tyler proposed creating JTG guitars, incorporating his ideas as a guitar designer, using Japan's superior technical capabilities.

The production process began with obtaining highly accurate 3D CAD data, which is the heart of James Tyler's guitar design. The challenge then became how to combine this data with Asuka's superior technical skills. After producing several prototypes with meticulous attention to detail and going through repeated trial and error, James Tyler himself gave the final check at the JAMES TYLER GUITARS Factory in LA. The quality was so high that James Tyler exclaimed, "You've gone to such extremes? It's perfect!" Since its release, new products have been manufactured using the same process, and we can confidently recommend "James Tyler Guitars Japan" to all guitar players.

This particular guitar is the "STUDIO ELITE HD," boasting superb playability and a wide range of sound variations! It's a popular model that's intuitive to use! The body top features a quilted maple top with scraped binding that reveals the maple grain around the perimeter, and the back is made of optional White Limba wood!
Limba is a hardwood native to Africa, and the light-colored sapwood and other light-colored wood from this species are characterized by their beautiful grain and rich acoustic properties. Limba is also widely known as Korina in the guitar industry.
It has a warm and rich midrange similar to mahogany, but with slightly better mid-high frequencies, allowing you to enjoy a clear and distinct sound! The balance of high, mid, and low frequencies is also good, making it an easy-to-use sound! When paired with the latest equipment, it creates a magic that captivates listeners! Of course, even with a simple setting, you can fully enjoy a rich midrange rock sound!

The superb quarter-sawn maple, comparable to USA grade, is carefully treated to suit the humidity of the Japanese climate. The fingerboard is also made of maple, just like the neck. However, the fingerboard itself is made of Indian rosewood, showcasing a rich, deep color!
For superior playability, the neck shape is the Standard '59 shape (@1st Fret .845 @12th Fret .975).
While slightly thicker than the Extra Thin '59 shape (@1st Fret .790@12th Fret .915), this neck shape is still incredibly easy to play compared to most guitars! Made using jigs measured from original USA-made guitars, the hand-shaped neck is the quintessential JAMES TYLER grip. The fingerboard sides feature smooth scalloped edges, and the fingerboard radius is 11R. The body and neck joint is cut at a slant, resulting in excellent playability in the higher positions. This guitar boasts a superb finish that will make every player feel comfortable and stress-free to play!

While boasting a clear and responsive acoustic tone, the body and neck vibrations are simply breathtaking. You can clearly feel the body and neck amplifying Tyler's characteristic sparkling sound. You can enjoy a wide range of tones that blends seamlessly into a band ensemble while still maintaining a strong presence!

The bridge is a Gotoh T-block model based on the "G2TS" system, featuring saddles engraved with the JAMES TYLER logo. This combination of a unit that enables smooth tremolo action and saddles that produce vintage-like harmonics is a golden pairing. The nut is made of smooth Graph Tech material with tightly cut grooves, and the tuners are Hip Shot locking tuners. This ensures tuning stability and allows for quick string changes, making it a ready-to-use instrument. Despite its long scale length, the combination of locking tuners and a Gotoh bridge creates an exquisite string tension, resulting in improved playability and long sustain.

The pickups, which produce a perfectly sculpted and wonderful body resonance, are the HH configuration of the JAMES TYLER RETRO/JAMES TYLER SHARK.
The direct-mounted pickups deliver clear response and a wide range of sound, producing a finely textured drive and excellent sustain. The front pickup, the RETRO, is a popular model that combines the traditional PAF (vintage humbucker) tone with the clarity and balance that perfectly matches modern studio work and ensembles. This is the lowest output model in the series. It features a warm clean tone characteristic of PAF-style pickups and a glossy overdrive that is well-defined without being overly compressed.

The rear SHARK is a high-output humbucker pickup by James Tyler Guitars. It is highly popular, especially for the bridge (rear) position, and enjoys immense support from studio musicians and rock guitarists. Rich midrange and tight lows: It pushes out a growling, punchy midrange while the low end is extremely tight. Fat and smooth highs: The high peak is designed to be slightly subdued, producing fat, thick single-note phrases that are not harsh on the ears. It has a balanced, understated compression, and even with heavy distortion, the sound does not get muddy, maintaining clear articulation.

The wiring, grounding, and volume control use the same parts as the original USA model. The volume pot is equipped with a high-pass capacitor, so the high frequencies are not cut off even when the volume is turned down.

Compared to the SE specification, which is known as the "Full Option" version with its distinctive switching system, the HD specification features a simpler mid-booster circuit. It has a simple 3-way lever pickup selector, a push switch for turning the mid-booster on and off, a master volume, a mid-booster volume control, and a master tone control. The HD model has a master tone control, so it can be operated with the feel of a typical guitar. In addition, the mid-boost can be turned on and off with a single switch, so you can use it to create a fat sound by adding mid-low frequencies, or turn it on to extend the sustain, and the player-friendly specifications that allow you to do everything at your fingertips are truly impressive. When the mid-boost circuit is on, it goes through the active circuit, so even at the boost level of 0, the output is slightly improved and the sound is clear, which is one of the essential sounds of Tyler. When the battery is 0, it can be bypassed and used as a passive guitar.

We've just received a great deal of high-quality used goods! This one is from 2025.
While there are some minor scratches and tarnishing on the parts, overall this is a beautifully used item in excellent condition! We have performed a full maintenance and cleaning at our shop, so it is ready to use immediately!

The frets are in good working order and have almost all of their life remaining. The nut is also in good working order and the truss rod can be adjusted normally.

The electrical system has also been fully checked, so there are no problems with its operation.

The weight is approximately 3.81 kg. It has a balanced design that produces a solid, focused sound!
