Founded by the late Johnny Claviotto, a world-renowned master craftsman of single-ply shell drums, the Claviotto Drum Company produces drums with solid (single-ply) shells, which are completely different from ply shells.
Having developed a technique to bend single-ply wood using steam, Mr. Claviotto himself has carefully selected the finest materials without any compromise. The beautiful oil finish is made as thin as possible to maximize the resonance of the shell, and the drums feature meticulously crafted tubular lugs and Claviotto's original snare wires, all of which are elevated to a level that can truly be called works of art, and are handmade by a small team of highly skilled craftsmen.

Each custom shop snare drum is meticulously handcrafted at the Craviotto workshop in California (now relocated to Nashville, Tennessee), the birthplace of the company. They offer heirloom-quality craftsmanship and a truly personalized sound and feel.
Using carefully selected premium-grade veneer wood, and incorporating Johnny Claviotto's unique steam bending process, each shell is meticulously hardened and hand-finished to achieve strength, stability, and unparalleled performance.
Every drum in the Custom Shop is crafted to precise specifications, showcasing the impeccable craftsmanship that has propelled Craviotto Drums to legendary status.

-Solid Curly Maple-
This guitar features extremely rare and valuable solid curly maple wood with a beautiful wavy grain, and is reinforced with solid curly maple, resulting in a versatile medium-range sound.
This one has a shallow body and is 4.5 inches long.
The instantaneous attack of the sound, the natural and rapid decay, and the excellent responsiveness of the snare wires are astonishing, allowing for the full expression of even the most delicate and refined sticking touch and dynamics. It boasts a high level of perfection as an instrument.
With its universal design, ease of use, and wide tuning range, this is a superb instrument recommended for drummers of various genres seeking expressiveness, from jazz, pop, vocal rock, and blues to wind band and classical music.
