Andy Timmons Signature Model

The AT100CL, the signature model of Andy Timmons, who captivates audiences with his technical playing across genres from jazz and fusion to country and rock, is now available! The AT100-SB, which was released in limited quantities about 10 years ago, is a semi-legendary model with few units available on the market, and has been highly requested for reproduction by enthusiastic fans. In response to these requests, and based on Andy Timmons' own requests, and after numerous discussions with Ibanez, the new AT100CL has been born.


◆DiMarzio The Cruiser /AT-1 pickups
It features DiMarzio The Cruiser pickups in the neck and middle positions, and the signature DiMarzio AT-1™ pickup in the bridge position.
The Cruiser pickups feature a parallel humbucking configuration to reduce noise while reproducing a clean, bright, vintage single-coil-like sound.

◆Wilkinson-Gotoh VSVG tremolo bridge
The tremolo system uses a Wilkinson-Gotoh VSVG.
This allows for stable action and a low-profile setup.

◆Gotoh Magnum Lock machine heads w/HAP(Height Adjustable Post)
It features Gotoh Magnum Lock machine heads, which are renowned for their tuning stability.
It features a HAP (Height Adjustable Post) mechanism, allowing you to adjust the post height and achieve the appropriate tension for each string.


[Differences from the previously released AT100]
The AT100, released in limited quantities in 1999, remains a legendary model with enduring popularity. Andy himself favors this model, and the newly added "AT100CL" in the lineup has the same overall look, but with differences in the details. The regular lineup AT100CL does not include the certificate of authenticity or other special accessories found in the limited edition model.

Furthermore, the most significant change is that the original 2 volume/1 tone configuration has been changed to 1 volume/2 tone at Andy's request for more nuanced tonal control. While the arrangement of master volume, front & center tone, and rear tone is conventional, it allows for a wider range of tone control, and combined with Andy's emphasis on emotional playing, it is a very effective layout. Also, the neck, like the previous AT100, has a moderate thickness while still providing a highly playable feel.

At its heart, the pickups are the same as on the AT300: a "DiMarzio Cruiser" in the front and center positions, a favorite of Andy McMahon, and an "AT1 Custom" in the rear position. This combination provides a shortcut to Andy's signature sound, which expresses both sparkle and mellow tones, whether clean or distorted.
