[MADE IN JAPAN. The Mastercraft '8055' steel snare drum, popular among vintage enthusiasts for its simple look—chrome finish and 8 grooves—has been reissued as a limited edition model.]

The combination of a 1.2mm steel shell and die-cast hoops produces a solid, resonant sound, while the 6.5-inch deep shell and full-contact snare wire create a voluminous buzz, resulting in a vintage sound befitting its appearance.

[1.2mm Steel Shell with 8 line ridges]
While many brands were releasing snare drums with steel shells, this model, which uses a thicker-than-usual 1.2mm shell, achieves a heavy and powerful attack, delivering exactly the sound rock drummers were looking for. The distinctive eight-line pattern on the shell is also faithfully reproduced.

【18-strand Carbon Steel Long Snare Wires (Full-face contact snare wires)】
This drum kit faithfully reproduces the original specifications, employing an 18-strand carbon steel snare wire and filament tape with a full-contact system. Compared to an internal contact system, only the snare wire makes contact with the underside head, resulting in a more sensitive response.

【Roller Action Strainer】
This is a groundbreaking strainer that achieves subtle tonal expression and a voluminous buzz sound with full-contact snare wire, while improving operability with a simple design. The key is the guide roller that moves up and down in a 3mm width and the small spring that assists its movement. This allows for a larger drop in the snare wire, and the spring's repulsive force ensures that the guide roller reliably separates from the head. This makes it easy to switch the strainer on and off, and its simple structure attracted considerable attention. This strainer, which was once discontinued, has been faithfully reproduced in this model. You can once again experience its unique tone and operability.

【6302N Strainer】
This strainer switch butt faithfully reproduces the original. In particular, it even replicates the "OWARIASAHI/AICHI JAPAN" engraving on the strainer switch, which refers to Owariasahi City in Aichi Prefecture, the place where TAMA drums were produced at the time. Furthermore, the diameter of the square-head bolts that secure the filament tape retaining plate has been changed from the original 4mm to 5mm to improve durability.

【Die-Cast Hoop (10 holes)】
While 10-tension die-cast hoops were not common in the early 80s, they were incorporated into all Mastercraft series drums to achieve a clear attack and excellent projection. The snare side hoops feature a revived windowed design to prevent the snare wire from touching the floor.

[One Touch Tone Control]
The inside muffler was originally developed for the Mastercraft snare drum. When Mastercraft was first released, recording technology was not yet advanced, and sound control of the drum itself was crucial, so it was adopted in many drums. In particular, the One Touch Tone Control was highly praised as a groundbreaking idea because it allowed for subtle adjustment of the amount of muting and one-touch on/off switching. This mechanism, which allows for instantaneous sound switching even during performance, continues to expand the possibilities of new sounds even in today's world of advanced recording technology.

[Original Superstar Badge & Superstar Lug]
The original T-shaped Superstar emblem has been reproduced. The appearance of the Original Superstar lugs has also been recreated.

[REMO AMBASSADOR Coated TAMA 50th Anniversary version]
This guitar features a REMO(R) AMBASSADOR Coated Batter/Snare Side with a reproduction of the original logo print.
