Crafted from carefully selected materials, expert technical skills, and designs born from Dana's extensive experience, these guitars combine "high precision as musical instruments" with "a musically rich tone," earning high praise from numerous musicians.
The "OMC Soloist" is the most iconic and representative model of Beaujolais.
It was released in 1985 at the request of Eric Schoenberg, a renowned ragtime-style guitar player.
Featuring an OM (Orchestra) body with a distinctive shallow Venetian cutaway, this guitar boasts a beautiful silhouette and sophisticated design and sound, earning it the moniker "Modern Classic" and making it a favorite among numerous musicians.
Despite its appearance, it boasts a surprisingly thick and substantial fundamental tone, and despite its OM body, it has a wide dynamic range that makes you feel like you're playing a dreadnought. Yet, it also responds quickly to picking; even a light strum produces a smooth, lossless vibration throughout the entire body, and when you touch it firmly, the sound image is captured without distortion, resulting in a sound balance that faithfully reflects the nuances of the player's touch.
With its looks and design, this model best reflects Dana's original design philosophy, making it truly worthy of being a flagship model.
This particular model, serial number "10967," is an original order model made by our store's staff member.
This watch shines with its special materials and luxurious, sophisticated design.
The top is made of torified Italian spruce, and the sides and back are made of cocobolo, a rare wood with a beautiful grain pattern.
It has the weighty and dense sound characteristic of cocobolo sides and back, but because the top wood is torrefied, the body vibrates smoothly even with a light touch.
This is our first Soloist guitar with cocobolo back and sides, and we found it to be excellent for fingerstyle playing, producing a solid, dense sound not only in standard tuning but also in down tuning.
The cocobolo material used for the sides and back was a beautiful reddish color, so we adopted a sunburst color to highlight this hue.
Beaujolais' sunburst color is characterized by its exquisite shades and contrast of red and brown, giving it an elegant and refined presence.
The "Petit Vine" inlays on the headstock and fretboard complement the Soloist's simple design without detracting from its overall appeal, resulting in a sophisticated and elegant finish.
Although it was produced through a team effort, it's no exaggeration to say that the quality is comparable to that of luthier-made pieces.
It has evolved dramatically compared to Beaujolais of yesteryear, and you can feel their commitment to continuous improvement even as they become the top brand in the industry.
While it is an expensive instrument, considering its luxurious and meticulously crafted specifications, I think it could be considered a bargain.
Considering the current circumstances, this price is not possible for the next order.
Please take this opportunity to try it out.
