■ Based on a legendary drive pedal, it has evolved to produce a new drive sound.
Char has used many legendary drive pedals. Among them, we thoroughly examined the sound of several pedals, including his own Klon CENTAUR, which he particularly liked and used for many years, and a unit owned by VEMURAM that we believe has a particularly good sound. Furthermore, since Char creates his distinctive drive sound not by using a drive pedal alone, but by combining it with the boost sounds of pedals such as the Roland CE-1 and Watkins Copicat, we started development aiming for a new drive sound that reflects these nuances. Over a development period of more than a year, Char himself used the sample unit many times in live performances, and through repeated design changes and tuning based on his feedback, the pedal evolved into the new medium-gain drive sound we aimed for.

■For over a year, we spent time verifying and developing Char's past equipment, including guitars and amplifiers. VEMURAM received a wide variety of equipment that Char has used over the years, from legendary amplifiers to effect pedalboards, Copicat guitars, and even his own legendary Mustangs, a '59 Burgundy Mist Stratocaster, a P90-equipped Les Paul, and an SG. We repeatedly tuned and tested these legendary pieces of equipment.

■Two Sound Tunings in One Unit During the development period, Char ultimately chose two sample pedals from the many sample pedals that were created. While the circuits are basically almost the same, differences in the types of parts and their constants result in significantly different tones and sound nuances. Char himself couldn't decide which was better until the very end, and since he wanted both sounds for actual live performances, he luxuriously decided to put both sounds into a single enclosure. The first sound has a vintage feel with a slightly aged tone, while the second B-ch (Bright Channel) sound is a slightly brighter, more powerful sound with a stronger attack. Neither of these two sounds is considered the main one; you can set the LEVEL individually and switch between them using the footswitch.

■ Equipped with control functions that allow for fine adjustments.
In addition to the main controls, the SPIRITONE features a SAT trimmer that adjusts the frequency range similar to the saturation produced by the power tubes of a vacuum tube amplifier, as well as an ON/OFF switch for the input buffer circuit. This allows for fine-tuning and selection depending on the combination with other equipment used simultaneously and the acoustic conditions of the venue.

■Regarding product quality and special specifications: In addition to familiar VEMURAM custom parts such as footswitches, input/output jacks, and capacitors, we have also generously used some rare *NOS parts. Furthermore, this product features custom-made (ash white color) bakelite knobs for the control knobs, making it a special product that not only enhances the sound but also brings joy to its owner.
