A left-handed Fender USA 1978 Jazz Bass!

This guitar features an ash body, rosewood fingerboard with block inlays and cell binding, and a three-bolt neck joint. It boasts a unique attack and richness in the low and high frequencies, with a pleasantly fat bass tone. The neck displays beautiful bird's-eye grain from the headstock to the back.

The dates are as follows: the neck is from 1978, all three potentiometers are from 1977, and the pickups are gray bobbins (6.8kΩ/7.1kΩ), both from 1978. The jack appears to have been replaced from the original. The pickup foams had been replaced because they had hardened.
*The DC resistance value of the pickup is measured after passing through the control section.

There are some minor scratches and dents, but it is in relatively good condition, and the truss rod is functioning well and the neck is in good condition.
The guitar comes complete with a pickup fence and bridge cover. The bridge cover has a mute sponge attached, but it has hardened and needs to be replaced before use.

This guitar boasts a sophisticated look thanks to its walnut finish and rosewood fretboard.

Items with “USED” in the product name are pre-owned and will be delivered as shown in the photos. Signs of wear may be present. All items are function-tested by our staff and rechecked before dispatch.

■ Stock

Many products are stocked across Ikebe stores in Japan. As a result, shipment may take several days. In-store sales may also cause items to sell out. If an item is unavailable, we will contact you promptly; in that case, the order will be canceled and any payment will be refunded.

■ Shipping

We ship via FedEx. Shipments are fully insured against damage or loss during transit.

  • North America & Oceania: 20–30 days (estimated)

Shipping costs are calculated based on the delivery address and confirmed at the time of dispatch.

■ Taxes & Duties
