Since its founding in 1982, MAYONES (also known as Mayones) has gained popularity in Europe and the US for its unique lineup and reliable quality. Its user list includes a stellar list of top musicians, including Nathan East, Hadrien Feraud, Jimmy Haslip, Yolanda Charles, Pawel Maciwoda (The Scorpions), and Wes Borland (Limp Bizkit). The company, based in Poland, Eastern Europe, is a small but elite instrument manufacturer that has gained recognition and acclaim in Japan for its Be Exotic Series.
The Mayones Jabba model features a refined JB style and sound, 24 frets, and a custom 5-string design. It features an ash body with an i-poplar top, a slightly longer 34.25-inch single-piece maple neck with an ebony fingerboard, block position marks, and neck binding. It also features a matching i-poplar headstock, Aguilar pickups, and an original M-BP3 preamp.
The sound is pleasantly compressed and has a slightly lower midrange, which, combined with the pickup's characteristics, produces a wide range, clarity, and impressive clarity. The tone and original 3-band EQ allow for flexible and smooth control depending on your picking style: finger, pick, or slap. The powerful bass and rich midrange resonance, along with a crisp, clear tone, create a distinctive JB feel, while remaining well-balanced.
There are some small scratches and dents on the body, headstock, and neck, but it is still playable and can be used without any problems.
There is a crack in the clear paint near the bridge.
The truss rod has plenty of room and the neck is in good condition.
