YAMAHA YTR-9335CH-BR GL (Custom Order)

●The new Xeno Artist Model expands possibilities.A new BR type has been added to the Yamaha flagship trumpet, the Xeno Artist Model, which has received high praise worldwide.
In pursuit of performance that meets the needs of today's players, it uses more brass parts than the standard Xeno artist model.
This is a new-generation trumpet that offers high flexibility, agile control, and accurate pitch.

Development Collaboration Artist: Thomas Hooten "The BR Type is an innovative addition to Yamaha's fantastic lineup of brass instruments.
Its design is well suited to meeting the ever-increasing technical and musical demands of the modern music world.
This trumpet is truly my go-to instrument.
Its rich color and flexibility are especially essential for pop classical concerts at the Hollywood Bowl and Star Wars performances at Disney Concert Hall.
With this trumpet, you can maintain a warm, beautiful tone for classical concerts while also having the flexibility to adapt to more pop-oriented sounds.
I'm incredibly grateful to Yamaha for listening to today's artists and providing them with instruments that allow them to create amazing music."

Thomas Hootun is principal trumpet of the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra.
He began his career in 2000 as a trumpeter and cornetist with the United States Marine Corps Band, "The President's Own," and is a frequent soloist.
He subsequently served as associate trumpet of the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra in 2004 and principal trumpet of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra in 2006, before joining the Los Angeles Philharmonic in 2012.
In 2011, he released his first solo album, "Trumpet Call."
In 2019, he recorded John Williams' Concerto for Trumpet and Orchestra, conducted by the composer himself.
Hooten is also a faculty member at the University of Southern California and teaches at the Trumpet Studio with his wife, Jennifer Marotta.
A native of Tampa, Florida, Hooten earned a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of South Florida and a Master of Music degree from Rice University.
He studied primarily with Armando Guitarra, John Hagstrom, and Don Owen.

●Xeno Artist Model BR Type The Xeno Artist Model, which combines tradition and confidence, now comes in a new BR type that brings even more possibilities.
The numerous brass parts used in the BR type not only bring out the sparkling tone and free playability, but also firmly support the accurate pitch that is unique to the Xeno artist model.

●Chicago Series The Chicago Series BR type is an instrument created through close collaboration with Thomas Hooten.
The combination of traditional style and cutting-edge design delivers a free-flowing feel and a tone that is both sparkling and deep.
The C and B♭ clarinet boast unparalleled feel and playability across the entire register, and there's no sense of incongruity when switching between them.

●Brass two-piece valve casing The previous two-piece valve casing, with the upper part made of nickel silver and the lower part made of brass, has been changed to one where both the upper and lower parts are made of brass, and the top and bottom caps are also made of brass.
Because it has a lighter specific gravity than nickel silver, it has a brighter sound and allows for greater freedom in the feel of playing.

●Brass slide tube outer tube
The Xeno Artist Model BR Type inherits the advantages of the current Xeno Artist Model.
The YTR-9335CHS-BR and YTR-9445CHS-BR feature a square-shaped main tuning slide, further improving the overall balance of playing feel and tone.

●The tapered design of the bell shape and the square bend in the U-shaped section provide ideal resistance.
This results in a powerful, solid, more "three-dimensional" sound and improves playability in the high register.

●French Bead: Unlike the general method of curling by inserting a perfectly circular edge ring, this is an extremely advanced method of inserting a semi-cylindrical edge ring and curling according to its shape.
Its distinctive feature is the excellent feedback of sound to the player.

●Lead pipe: The thin-walled Malone Pipe(TM) and finger-hook lead pipe use Malone Pipe(TM) with a thinner tube thickness than the Xeno Artist Model.
It provides the gorgeous tone and playing feel that is characteristic of the BR type, which has many brass parts.
The finger rest is not soldered directly to the leadpipe, so you will notice a difference in tone and response.

●Malone Pipe(TM)
Since Bob Malone opened his workshop in Los Angeles in 1983, many trumpet players have come to him to customize their instruments.
The uniquely designed reed pipe is particularly highly regarded and is still known as the Malone Pipe.
In 2001, Yamaha welcomed Malone to the development team and began using Malone pipes on some of their custom models.
With its rich, brilliant sound and excellent projection, this reed pipe will bring out the player's musical vision to the fullest.

●Water key and water key cork
The Xeno Artist Model water key has a redesigned weight distribution between the water key arm and saddle, improving playability and response while also making it easier to jump into the higher register.
The water key cork is now made of rubber cork, which is resistant to deterioration even with long-term use, improving the clarity, projection, and response of the sound.
* Rubber cork: Cork particles are evenly mixed into synthetic rubber, making it more compressively elastic than conventional cork.

●By changing the extension seat design and position, support position, and bell extension seat shape and position, we have revised the weight balance, pursuing faster response and a bright, solid tone.
Additionally, the position of the support rod on the YTR-9335CHS is unique for a B♭ trumpet, as it is close to the distance between the mouthpiece receiver and the main tuning slide support rod on the C trumpet YTR-9445CHS, making it highly uniform and easy to switch between the B♭ and C trumpets.

●J-shaped first slide finger hookThe Chicago series uses a J-shaped first slide finger hook.
Not only does it fit better to the fingers, but the weight of the entire first slide has also been increased to optimize the sound balance.

●The stopper is located at a position where the third slide allows the string to be pulled out further than usual, allowing you to play low E♭ with accurate pitch.
In addition, the button at the end of the slide and the notched stopper allow for fine-tuning of the resistance during playing, creating a comfortable playing feel.

●Slide stopper The slide stopper prevents the slide from falling off, and since it is made of silicone rubber, it can be used without discoloring the instrument.
It is strong and flexible, and can be left attached while playing. (Length: 12 cm)

●Included case
The TRC-801E is a double case that can be carried by hand, over the shoulder, or on the back.
