Tokai is a long-established and highly popular Japanese guitar manufacturer. We have a highly recommended pre-owned archtop model in excellent condition! It was manufactured in 2012. While it has some scratches, dents, and signs of wear, it's a truly atmospheric instrument! The beautiful figured maple plywood and Vintage Natural finish make this a truly exceptional piece!

This ES-148S features a figured maple plywood body in a Vintage Natural color. Its semi-acoustic construction, combined with the traditional character of the original pickups, produces a bright, semi-acoustic sound with rich overtones. The pickups are believed to be Tokai's original PAF-Vintage MK2S. The high quality of this Japanese-made instrument makes it highly playable, combining authentic looks with exceptional playability.

This time, we have a recommended player's condition pre-owned guitar in stock! We believe it was made in 2012.
There are scratches, dents, and playing marks throughout, as well as small original dents in the paint, scratches on the buckle, paint burns, a hole in the pickguard attachment, cracks in the binding near the 9th and 12th frets on the 6th string side of the neck, scratches on the back of the neck, large dents near the 3rd and 5th frets on the 1st string side, scratches and dents on the headstock, tarnish on the pickup cover, tarnish on parts, and rust. However, none of these affect playability or cause any problems. This guitar has been fully serviced and cleaned in our shop, so it's ready to play right away! Enjoy the deep, rich sound you expect from a well-used instrument! The pickguard is missing. The endpin has been replaced with a locking one (the locking pin receiver is not included).

There is some rust on the heads of the escutcheon screws, but they can still be turned and tightened. The heads of the rear PU screws are very rusty, and the screw on the bottom right cannot be turned with a Phillips head screwdriver, but can be turned with a small flat head screwdriver. All of these screws are currently tightened and fixed, so there is no problem using them.

The frets have been filed. Although they are low, they are still in usable condition. Approximately 40% of the frets remain. The nut is also in good condition for use as is. The truss rod can be adjusted normally without any problems.

The electrical system has been fully checked and there are no problems with operation.
Due to the length of the wiring, it is visible from the F-hole on the right side, but this does not affect operation.

The weight is approximately 3.33 kg. It has an easy-to-use balance.
