A 1997 electric guitar from Spector, a well-known name in electric basses!
Used items have arrived!

-----

This latest arrival is a 1997 Blackhawk model. The Blackhawk was developed during the Kramer Guitars era and is known for being used by many popular guitarists of the time. 1997 was the later period of SSD (Stuart Spector Design), and this particular guitar was made in the Woodstock workshop in New York. A memo detailing the order can be seen inside the rear pickup cavity.

The unique double-cutaway body features a luxurious two-piece quilted maple top and a mahogany back. The neck is a bolt-on maple joint with a rosewood fingerboard. It shows weather checking, dents, and signs of use, giving it a nice, vintage feel. The back panel is missing.

The guitar currently uses jumbo frets approximately 2.8mm wide, showing minimal wear and offering good playability. The nut width is 42.9mm, giving it a relatively thin neck profile. The Wilkinson VSVG bridge is the original, but it has since been replaced with the same model from Wilkinson by GOTOH.

The overall weight is approximately 3.9kg. The pickups are a combination of EMG 85 and 81. With its simple design that omits tone controls, it excels at producing the hard rock sound you'd expect.
