A new color model of the Japanese-made Lari Basilio signature model LB1, based on the single-cut body AZS!


◆Single-Cut AZS Body
Despite being a single-cutaway guitar, it features an original body shape designed for comfortable handling and a contemporary look.
The elbow contour and thinly finished body contour create a sense of unity between the player and the guitar, greatly contributing to improved playability. Furthermore, the deeper waist of the body makes it easier to hold and handle on stage, resulting in superior playability.
This ergonomic design provides a comfortable fit the moment you pick up the guitar, whether sitting or standing.

◆Seymour Duncan Lari Basilio pickups
The LB1 is equipped with Seymour Duncan pickups, specially developed for this model. Each pickup has its own distinct character, but the emphasis was also placed on creating an exquisite combination of sounds.
The neck pickup features a mix of Alnico 5 and Alnico 4 magnets for a distinctive vintage tone, while the middle pickup uses a mix of Alnico 5 and Alnico 2 magnets, expanding the tonal options while also achieving a unique appearance.
The bridge humbucker features an Alnico 5 magnet and boasts a versatile and well-balanced voicing that emphasizes attack and clarity across a wide range of tones, from clean to high-gain. Versatility is essential to the sound Lari aims for, and these pickups deliver on that.

◆dyna-MIX9 switching system with Alter Switch
With a single flick of the mini-switch, you can freely switch between humbucker and single-coil modes, achieving a wide variety of sounds.
The LB1 creates nine different sounds, including one that simulates a 22-fret neck humbucker by wiring the neck and center single-coil pickups in series.

◆Gotoh T1702B tremolo bridge
It features a T1702B tremolo bridge with brass saddles and inertia block, which are characterized by a warm, bright tone and excellent resonance.
The string spacing is a narrow 10.5mm, designed to make it easier to pick across strings, a feature demanded by players who frequently use string skipping and hybrid picking.

◆Jumbo Stainless Steel frets with Prestige fret edge treatment
The frets are made of stainless steel with a crown height of 2.7mm and a width of 1.4mm, and a hardness of 220.
It boasts excellent maintainability and features such as a fast attack, clear note separation when playing chords, and a clear sound when playing individual notes.

◆Super All Access Neck Joint
The Super All Access neck joint features a stepped carving on the back of the body with an 8mm height difference, and the neck joint is finished with a spherical surface to achieve superior playability.
The cutaway on the bass string side is designed to be shallower, maximizing the contact area between the body and neck. This achieves both excellent playability and good sustain and resonance.

◆S-TECH WOOD Roasted Birdseye Maple neck & fretboard
The neck and fretboard are made of birdseye maple treated with ESTEC technology.
Wood treated with ESTEC technology possesses characteristics such as dimensional stability, resistance to warping, water resistance, and resistance to temperature changes, and this technology is patented in Japan.

◆AZ Oval C shape
One of the defining features of the AZ series of guitars designed for modern guitarists is the smooth neck grip shape: AZ Oval C, which is also adopted in the LB1.
This comfort grip features a smooth, rounded shape from the joint between the fretboard and neck to the fretboard edge. The shape is precisely and reliably reproduced using ball milling.
The neck width is set at 42mm at the nut and 56.4mm at the last fret, with a shape that takes into special consideration the ease of gripping in the lower fret area and the classical style of playing with the thumb placed on the back of the neck in the higher fret area.

◆Compound Radius (228mm to 305mm) Fretboard
The compound radius fingerboard was adopted to accommodate both deep chord forms in the lower positions and lead playing on the higher frets.

◆Luminlay side dot inlay
These 3.0mm diameter phosphorescent dot position markers offer high visibility, adapting to the rapidly changing performance environment due to lighting and other factors. You'll never lose sight of the notes you want to play, even on a dark stage.

◆Bone nut
It uses oil-impregnated cow bone nuts.
This design significantly contributes to tuning stability by improving the smoothness of the strings and nut, as well as enhancing resonance.

◆Gotoh Magnum Lock machine heads w/HAP
It features Gotoh Magnum Lock machine heads, which are renowned for their tuning stability.
It features a HAP (Height Adjustable Post) mechanism, allowing you to adjust the post height and achieve the appropriate tension for each string.

[Lari Basilio Signature Model LB1]
Lari Basilio is a guitarist from São Paulo, Brazil.
Having started playing guitar at the age of eight, Lari is one of the most noteworthy new-generation guitarists, rapidly gaining support within the guitar community thanks to her exceptional technique and songwriting talent.
In 2019, he released his own original album, "Far More," in which he collaborated with Joe Satriani. He also invited legendary musicians such as Siedah Garrett, Vinnie Colaiuta, Nathan East, and Greg Phillinganes as guests, creating soulful tracks.
Lari is a truly borderless player who expresses himself richly through music, ranging from technical yet melodic, heavy rock sounds to delicate clean tones, and even music from his native Brazil, which is his roots.
Ibanez and Lari created the LB1 signature model based on the AZS series. The second model was white, and for this third model, they chose black. The attention to detail, including the newly developed pickups and compound radius fretboard specifically for the LB1, will greatly expand the possibilities and expressiveness not only for Lari but also for any guitarist who plays the LB1.
