Tom Quayle's new signature model in a single-cut body AZS format.

Tom Quayle
Guitarist Tom Quayle has been with Ibanez since the inception of the AZ model. His deep understanding of jazz and fusion is undeniable, and his masterful use of legato and hybrid picking has earned him recognition as one of the most versatile players in the UK and global guitar communities. For his new signature model bass, he has chosen the single-cutaway AZS.

Ibanez AZS
This single-cut model inherits the concept embodied in the AZ series, but with a traditional look that pleasantly defies expectations with modern specifications, newly developed original hardware that balances playability and ease of maintenance, and pickups and electronics that can accommodate a wide range of playing styles from rock, blues, jazz, neo-soul. It was developed with the aim of creating another standard worthy of bearing the A through Z designation.

- Response-oriented maple (4mm) top, alder body with balanced, bright tonal characteristics and rich sustain - Single-cutaway body - Body contours that fit comfortably against the body - Super All Access neck joint - S-TECH WOOD roasted maple 1-piece neck, AZ Oval C neck shape - Rosewood fingerboard (nut to end: 228mmR to 305mmR compound radius)
• Seymour Duncan Magic Touch Mini neck pickup • Seymour Duncan Alnico II Pro Custom bridge (pickup steel plate mounted)
- The dyna MIX5 switching system controlled by the Alter Switch allows you to freely switch between humbucker and single-coil modes with a single flick of the mini-switch, resulting in a total of 5 different sound variations thanks to its original wiring. In the rear position with the Alter Switch ON, the humbucker tap and single-coil are connected in series, producing a pseudo-humbucker sound that simulates the bridge humbucker on a guitar with an HH layout.
- Ibanez T1802 tremolo bridge (Gotoh, tremolo cavity: non-recessed, jumbo-sized stainless steel frets, 250kΩ pots (Volume & Tone))
• Luminous side dot position inlays on the fretboard (Luminlay)
• Gotoh Magnum Lock machine heads with HAP function for adjustable post height • Bone nuts • Dedicated hardshell case included • D'Addario EXL110
