■ Architecture and Analog Elements in Transmission It is widely known that the sound in a digital environment is greatly influenced by the quality of the AD/DA converters and the jitter accuracy of the audio clock. However, in reality, there are other factors that change the sound, and just like in analog, it is often affected by electromagnetic waves and noise, which can introduce noise, as well as by applications, drivers, and the hardware parts of the PC itself.
Even in high-speed serial bus transfers, data transfer is affected by the software system configuration, the connector, the circuit board pattern, the surrounding environment of the chip, and analog components such as cables.
The d+USB series was designed to ensure smooth, loss-free data transmission by understanding the role of cables within the overall system configuration, encompassing both software and hardware.
In digital signal transmission, the key is to deliver the ON/OFF digital signal waveform from the transmitter to the receiver in as little state as possible. The cable's role is solely to transmit data, so thoroughly reducing losses due to various factors is crucial for minimizing unnecessary problems and achieving high-quality sound. Furthermore, since the signal flowing through the cable is an electrical signal, even if digital, an analog approach that considers electrical characteristics is also important. ■Impedance Adjustment: Designed with maximum consideration for the characteristic impedance of the cable, which is crucial for digital transmission, and precise pitch adjustment is performed using advanced technology. To send a stable signal, it is necessary to control the impedance, so distance, thickness, distance between cables, twisting, etc. must be considered. Because d+USB has precise impedance matching, it has a clean electrical signal waveform, suppresses reflection noise without causing termination reflections, and achieves accurate transmission and excellent stability.

■ Aiming for reliable high-speed transmission through carefully selected conductors, the Class B conductor uses "Silver-Coated OFC High-Purity Oxygen-Free Copper," which is coated with silver, resulting in a pure resistance approximately 5% lower than that of copper. Furthermore, Class A and Class S also take power lines into consideration. Class S uses PCOCC [Pure Crystal Ohno Continuous Casting Process], which theoretically eliminates crystal grain boundaries in the signal transmission direction. Class A, following the discontinuation of PCOCC production, uses Oyaide's precision conductor 102SSC, which achieves 102.3% IACS through advanced manufacturing technology and control. These superior conductors ensure reliable transmission in data transfer and stable power supply. In addition, the conductor diameter of Class S is set to AWG22/AWG18, double the normal size.
