By clearly defining the design concept and then thoroughly examining the details and materials, the styling and sound are perfected. There is no room for compromise. The FOCUS 1 incorporates innovative and original ideas. A one-touch push-pull function (utility model) that provides a smooth and secure hold. A cable clamp that also serves as a chassis ground for easy installation. A ball bearing lock that showcases the pinnacle of precision machining. The brass body is hard chromate plated, the same as on cameras, and the phosphor bronze contact pins are silver + rhodium plated for high resolution. Each material is machined from solid components using advanced CNC technology, boasting exceptional precision. In addition, the wide range of cable outer diameters from 6mm to 12mm reflects Oyaide's deep understanding of DIY users. ■Originality…
Originality. Innovation. And masterful craftsmanship. Constantly pursuing innovation without being bound by convention—this is Oyaide's philosophy. The Extreme XLR connector FOCUS 1 is no exception.

One of the most innovative and groundbreaking technologies in the FOCUS 1 is its one-touch push-pull function (utility model). Simply insert it into the output inlet to lock it, and to remove it, simply pull the ring at the tip to release the lock. Furthermore, the lock employs a ball-bearing lock, a testament to precision machining. These are entirely new locking functions not seen in conventional products. This ensures smooth and secure installation with the FOCUS 1. In addition to these locking functions, the FOCUS 1 also incorporates innovative ideas into its contacts. To ensure that the ground always makes first contact, the ground contact (pin 1) is extended by 3 mm compared to the other signal contacts, preventing pop noise during connection. Oyaide's originality is also evident in the cable fixing system. A blade-type cable clamp enables easy installation. This clamp system secures the cable while also allowing connection to the chassis ground.

■Materials and Processing: The FOCUS 1 is crafted with highly refined Japanese craftsmanship. The contact pins are precisely machined from phosphor bronze rods using a highly programmed CNC machine, then meticulously barrel-polished mechanically, followed by a two-layer direct plating of silver and rhodium. These pins are then insert-molded into PBT (GF30%) resin, forming an unprecedentedly strong and vibration-resistant contact area. Similarly, the outer shell and housing are machined from brass rods using CNC machining. The shell and body, machined using CNC machining, have a higher density and superior shielding performance compared to conventional lost-wax casting. The surface is treated with hard chrome plating, similar to the camera body.

In addition, the rubber ring provided at the mating part between the main body and the cap prevents loosening due to vibration and acts as a vibration damper.
