Carefully selected consignment items (sales on behalf of customers)

Arai Trading was founded in 1956. Around 1963, they began manufacturing electric guitars, and after going through brands such as Arai and Arai Diamond, they established the Aria acoustic guitar line and the Aria Pro II electric guitar/bass line. Since then, they have produced numerous classic instruments, including their signature "PE" series, which continues to this day.

This time we have the 1983 model "PE-R80" in stock after the model change.

【body】
The overall weight is approximately 4.3 kg. The PE series underwent a major model change around 1981, changing the specifications from an all-maple body to a maple and mahogany laminate body. It is somewhat lighter than the previous PE models, which tended to be heavy. While there are some scratches, dents, dull metal parts, and some paint peeling around the screws, it is in relatively good condition.

【neck】
The neck is a three-piece maple neck with an ebony fingerboard and resin chevron inlays, typical of later models. The nut is the original brass type, and the frets are in good condition with little wear, providing excellent playability. The nut width is approximately 43.2mm, and the thin neck shape and smooth heel cut make it easy to play even on the higher frets.

[Electrical system]
The controls are a 2-volume, 2-tone, and 3-way pickup selector switch with dual switches for each pickup. The pickups are the original Classic Power, delivering a powerful, thick, and powerful tone, while the dual switch adds a crisp, sharp sound.
