Plug and Play - The JFET instrument input jack is a Class A, discrete design using JFETs. Based on the input section of a classic tube amplifier, this DI input delivers rich, harmonic-rich sound. The DI input is also an independent channel from the microphone preamp input, so you can, for example, sing and play guitar while recording simultaneously.

Ultra-low latency - monitor mix
The D4's Monitor Mix allows for ultra-low latency recording, with an optimal balance between input and computer audio for smooth recording without noticeable delay.

■ iD4mkII: Supplementary explanation ◎ iD4mkII boasts bus-powered ADI
Many audio interfaces are unable to supply phantom power that meets the standards. As a result, the supplied phantom power of approximately 35V drops to 15V or less due to microphone loading. In this case, it does not meet the DIN45596 standard (±4V @ 10mA). However, the iD4 mkII can provide stable, low-noise phantom power of 48V @ 14mA. Compared to other bus-powered ADI devices, the iD4 offers professional specifications even when bus-powered.

*Note regarding USB bus power:
Both the iD4mkII and iD14mkII require the USB 3.0 specification of 5VDC/900mA for proper operation. When this power is supplied, full +48V phantom power is also supplied to the microphone, enabling full-range performance. The headphone DAC also operates at maximum level. Additionally, when 5VDC/1.5A is supplied via the USB-C connection, they enter high-voltage mode. When both devices enter this mode, the analog circuit voltage is boosted, increasing the headphone output level and other output levels.

◎iD4 mkII is a professional specification
The iD4mkII features a Class A preamp with the same design as the Audient console, and a headphone amplifier with the same performance as the iD22. It employs high-performance ADA converters, boasting ADC: 120dB/THD+N=0.001% and DAC: 126dB/THD+N=0.0005% performance, delivering best-in-class sound quality.

Low-latency monitoring: Many other companies' monitor blend (direct monitoring) functions are mono, which means they cannot accurately capture the stereo image. The iD4mkII's MONITOR MIX is stereo, allowing you to get a sense of the mix in stereo sound while recording. Furthermore, stereo monitoring means that vocalists can sing without removing one earphone, eliminating the worry of sound leaking into the microphone.

Accurate LED Meter The five-segment LED meter allows for more accurate level confirmation than other products. When MONITOR MIX is turned all the way to the left, the two LED meters become independent peak meters for inputs 1 and 2. When MONITOR MIX is turned all the way to the right, they function as a combined level indicator for the input signal and playback.
