FAQ

Description

We have received a used Maton SRS808C, one of Maton's most popular models!

This guitar, crafted by Maton, a long-established Australian guitar brand, is a model that has garnered support from many players thanks to the brand's unique design and high level of craftsmanship. It is particularly well-known for being used by Tommy Emmanuel and enjoys great popularity among fingerstyle players.

Regarding the condition of this instrument, there are scratches and dents on the entire body, showing signs of use commensurate with its age.
Upon arrival at our store, the guitar underwent a complete inspection and fret leveling at our partner workshop, so there are no issues with playability and the condition is excellent.

This particular instrument is a model from the period when the top wood was changed to spruce.
Featuring a spruce top and blackwood sides and back, this guitar takes advantage of the excellent acoustic properties of both woods, while the forward-shifted bracing creates a gentle, enveloping sound.
Among Maton's products, this model offers a well-balanced sound, making it an excellent match for pickup systems that output sound close to the natural acoustic tone.
Depending on how you create the sound, it can be used for a wide range of purposes, such as singing and playing an instrument or solo performances.

The excellent response and attack of the sound, characteristic of an ebony fretboard, are particularly noteworthy. While possessing a distinct character as an instrument, it is a highly accomplished, well-rounded guitar that can handle any style, from singing and playing to solo guitar.

Furthermore, the cutaway design provides excellent access to the higher positions. While the overall sound image is clean and crisp, the characteristic firm mid-low frequencies of blackwood are clearly felt, resulting in a well-balanced sound.

The guitar features the AP5 Pro pickup, also used in current models. By blending piezo and condenser microphone technology, it delivers a natural and immersive sound. Its presence ensures it won't get lost in the ensemble during live performances or recordings, making it an immediate asset.

This is your chance to get your hands on a high-performance model favored by professional musicians, at a price only available secondhand. It's highly recommended not only for those pursuing fingerstyle playing, but also for anyone looking for an expressive electro-acoustic guitar.
