FAQ

Description
Introducing the DSS-16E Cherry Cola, a slope-shoulder dreadnought from Martin's new generation 16 Series.

Its most distinctive feature is the combination of a traditional slope-shoulder dreadnought body shape and a 24.9-inch short scale. While possessing a rich volume and a resonant presence, the string tension is relatively gentle, making it comfortable for chord work and extended playing sessions.

The guitar features a solid spruce top and solid mahogany sides and back. It delivers the warm tone characteristic of mahogany, enhanced by powerful midrange and clear treble. Forward-shifted scalloped X-bracing brings out rich resonance and bass response, resulting in a punchy sound when strummed.

What catches the eye is the glossy Cherry Cola top. The contrast with the satin-finished dark mahogany sides and back, along with the grained ivoroid pickguard and 1955 Style 18 inlays, gives it a classic feel.

The neck features a Modified Low Oval profile and High Performance Taper. With a comfortable 44.5mm nut width, it's suitable for a wide range of playing styles, from strumming to fingerstyle.

Equipped with an LR Baggs Element pickup, this guitar delivers a sound that emphasizes acoustic resonance, making it a valuable asset for live performances and solo acoustic sets.

With its striking looks, warm and powerful mahogany sound, and comfortable playability thanks to its short scale, this Martin is a truly unique instrument that excels both on stage and at home.
