FAQ

Description
SHIGEHARU (Columbia) is a fuzz pedal with a "Muff-y" sound. In addition to a heavy sound with unprecedented clarity, you can add an octave-up overtone to the sound "when needed"! You can also enjoy a wide range of creative fuzz sounds with Tone & Body controls, a kill switch function, and a gate fuzz setting.

The fuzz section employs an integrated circuit with a BC184 in the gain stage. The musical, rich fuzz sound establishes a majestic tone that is the epitome of classic rock. While inheriting vintage rock sounds, Caroline Guitar Company's sense of tone-making is truly impressive, as it avoids becoming overly nostalgic and adds the essence of a "tool for playing 2000s rock."

By default, you can add an "octave up" overtone only while this latch switch is pressed.

You can enjoy playing in ways that were impossible with conventional octave fuzz pedals, such as playing with a normal fuzz sound that doesn't lose its chord feel during backing tracks, adding an octave only when playing solo guitar, or creating a harmonic machine gun-like sound by rapidly stepping on the switch.

By changing the slide switch on the internal circuit board, it's also possible to keep this "octave up" overtone always on (when the effect is on). In this case, the HAVOC switch changes its function to a "kill switch," muting the sound only while it's pressed.

There's another "fun" feature in the internal circuitry. On the internal circuit board, there's a small "Bias/Gate trim pot" that you can turn with a screwdriver. Turning it clockwise will let you enjoy a "gate fuzz sound"! We also recommend setting the "Octave Up" to always-on mode, turning the "Bias/Gate trim pot" all the way clockwise, and then adjusting the gate fuzz level with the Havoc trim pot. The default setting for the "Bias/Gate trim pot" is when it's turned all the way counterclockwise.

• True bypass design. • Operates on a 9V battery or a DC 9V power supply (center negative).
