The David Garibaldi model is a snare drum with a vibrant clear blue brass shell. Its well-balanced sound quality in both high and low frequencies is further enhanced by the placement of three air vents.

Among the discontinued Yamaha snare drums, this is a truly exceptional instrument, still highly regarded for both its sound and appearance.
The shell is made of brass. It combines clear highs and rich mid-lows, delivering quick response and excellent sound clarity.
With its wide tuning range and rich, resonant sound, it's suitable for a variety of tones, from tight sounds to thick backbeats. As David Garibaldi himself has commented, it can handle a wide range of musical styles with just one unit.
Its beautiful appearance, finished in blue clear lacquer, is also a major attraction.

My snare drum sound mainly comes from the funk tradition.
I've always loved not only the high-pitched cracking sound of the snare backbeat, but also the delicate clarity of the very soft, short notes that are played.
One of the main advantages of this snare drum is its versatility. Even if it was designed with a specific piece of music in mind, by changing the tuning, it can become ideal for many other styles.
This snare drum was primarily born from my drum concept. Therefore, it's a key element of my sound. The DG snare has all the features I love about snare drums.
And it's incredibly cool. You should definitely try it.

We ship via FedEx. Shipments are fully insured against damage or loss during transit.
