◆Awake Pickup
The newly developed Awake pickups are part of the 2026 Momose product renewal. The front and center positions feature Alnico 4 magnets, which produce a sweet high range and natural tone, while the bridge position, which tends to have a thin sound, uses an Alnico 5 magnet for a powerful, edgy sound. While aiming for the "desired sound" in each position, the balance is adjusted to create a unified sound, and as its name suggests, these pickups are designed to awaken the player's expressiveness and creativity.

◆Centralab Oil Capacitor With the development of the new pickup, we also reviewed the capacitor. From among many candidates, we chose the Centralab oil capacitor based on its compatibility with the pickup. It has excellent response to the player's nuances and a bright, forward-looking sound, creating a new Momose tone.

All models feature Luminlay side position marks, a luminous material that stores light and releases it in the dark. This feature is highly recommended for use in live music venues and concert halls where low-light lighting is used, and is a popular choice among professional musicians. It reduces the risk of losing track of your hand in the dark.

Puretone jack: All models feature the renowned Puretone jack, known for its secure grip and low noise. Unlike conventional jacks, this jack features two hot and two cold terminals, firmly holding the plug from both sides. Even with extended use, it won't loosen, providing stable performance that supports your performance.

The 310R fingerboard is flatter than the vintage-style fingerboard, allowing for a lower string height than ever before, making it easier to tackle technical playing that requires fast fingering.

◆How to distinguish from previous models Previous Momose models only had the words MADE IN JAPAN written on them, but the renewed models from 2026 onwards feature a new design that includes the Aska Quality logo.


◆Momose Original Series MC
While inheriting the traditional ST style, the MC is an original model that has been uniquely refined by Momose. Each guitar is handcrafted by artisans at the Asuka factory, from woodworking to painting and assembly. The high playability resulting from this meticulous craftsmanship has been praised by many top players, embodying the undeniable quality of the Momose brand. The MC1/R features a combination of an alder body and a rosewood fingerboard.

◆C-shaped grip
The MC1/R model features a C-shaped neck grip that is comfortable for hands of all sizes. The satin finish allows for smooth, stress-free position changes.

◆The spacious horn section enhances playability in the high positions
Compared to the traditional ST type, the MC model has a larger groove in the horn section on the treble string side, which not only improves playability in the upper positions but also allows players with larger hands to play up to the higher frets without stress.

◆Recessed processing of joint plateWhile using an orthodox plate joint to avoid compromising the traditional sound characteristics, the plate part is recessed to also improve playability.

Wood binding to prevent fingerboard problems The sides of the fingerboard are bound with wood from the same material as the fingerboard. This not only makes the sides of the fingerboard extremely smooth, but also prevents problems such as fret burrs from popping out.

The uniquely shaped headstock features a wide adjustment hole that allows for smooth neck adjustment. The shape is also wide to make adjustments easier.
