The Fender Precision Bass, the company's first solid-body electric bass guitar, was born and released in 1951. Following the success of the Precision Bass, the Jazz Bass was released later, and both continue to influence the music scene today.

This is a sunburst color guitar shipped around 1971. It features the popular rosewood fingerboard.

【body】
The total weight is approximately 3.95 kg. The body is made of alder. The 3-tone sunburst color features Fender's signature "Fender Thick-Skin High-Gloss" finish, which uses polyester as a base coat. The redness on the top surface has faded considerably, while the back surface retains a relatively good reddish hue. There is paint chipping on the elbow contour and sides, paint chipping on the back surface due to a belt buckle, age-related shrinkage of the pickguard, and tarnishing of the metal parts, giving it a good vintage instrument feel. One pickguard screw has been added, and the control knobs have been replaced. Metal covers are included.

【neck】
The neck is made of one piece of maple. The fingerboard is made of rosewood. There is a nice weather checking on the headstock, dents with paint chipping around the headstock and on the back of the neck, and some tarnishing on the metal parts, giving it a good vintage look, similar to the body. The tuners are a bit stiff to wind, but they function properly. The frets and nut have been replaced once, and there is some slight wear on the lower frets, but there is no extreme buzzing and the playability is good. The headstock thickness is 17.1mm. The nut width is 41.2mm, equivalent to a B neck. It features a relatively sturdy neck shape.

[Electrical System]
This Precision Bass features the familiar, simple master volume/master tone control. Consumable parts such as the potentiometers and output jack have been replaced. The pickups and tone capacitors are the original parts from that era.

Featuring an alder body and rosewood fingerboard, this guitar boasts a distinctive woody harmonic richness and a full midrange. The attack is smooth and rounded, giving it a tone that blends naturally into ensembles from the heyday of rock, blues, funk, and soul music. Turning down the tone knob brings out a clean yet rounded bass, allowing you to fully enjoy a classic Precision Bass sound that evokes a sense of the era.

We ship via FedEx. Shipments are fully insured against damage or loss during transit.
