FAQ

Description

◆MJS with Momose original updates

The Momose Jazz Style (MJS) was developed as an offset-shape model in the Original Series. While retaining its vintage feel, it incorporates updated specifications unique to Momose, reflecting feedback from users. The MJS2/R features an ash body and rosewood fingerboard.

-New specifications accompanying the renewal-

◆Hotrod Pickup

With the 2026 Momose product renewal, the specifications of the conventional Hotrod pickup have been improved. The output has been slightly adjusted to be higher, making it easier to create a sound that is also suitable for lead playing, while maintaining the crisp sound with overtones in clean sounds.

Luminray side dots made from luminous material

All models feature side position marks made of Luminlay, a luminous material that stores light and releases it in the dark. This feature is highly recommended for use in live music venues and concert halls where low-light lighting is used, and is highly popular among professional musicians. It also reduces the risk of losing track of your hand in the dark.

◆Puretone jack

All models feature the Puretone® jack, renowned for its secure grip and low noise. Unlike conventional jacks, this jack features two hot and two cold terminals, firmly holding the plug from both sides. Even with extended use, it won't loosen, providing stable performance that supports your performance.

◆ Fingerboard that supports a variety of playing styles

The fingerboard has a 310R radius, which is flatter than vintage-style fingerboards. This allows for a lower string height than ever before, making it easier to tackle technical playing that requires fast fingering.

◆How to distinguish from previous models

Previous Momose models only had the words MADE IN JAPAN on them, but the renewed models from 2026 onwards feature a new design that includes the Aska Quality logo.
