Description
An ideal volume pedal requires high sound quality, high durability, and smooth, musical volume control. Direct Volume addresses the shortcomings of conventional volume pedals and incorporates a newly developed full-rotation belt-drive system to realize this ideal volume pedal.
The Direct Volume pedal employs FREE THE TONE's unique full-rotation belt-drive system, which uses gears and a belt to rotate the variable resistor. Unlike conventional designs that use a string to rotate the variable resistor, this eliminates mechanical play in the variable resistor's rotation, resulting in smooth and linear volume changes in response to pedal operation. Furthermore, passive volume pedals have a problem where, even if the impedance of the equipment is matched, the variable resistor may not rotate all the way to the right when the pedal is pressed, resulting in an unusable range of rotation and a drop in the signal level when connected. The full-rotation belt-drive system is precisely designed so that the variable resistor rotates fully from minimum to maximum, solving this problem.
The direct volume control minimizes tonal changes while achieving a musical sound. To this end, the best possible components are carefully selected for the signal path, and the volume curve is optimized. The enclosure housing these internal mechanisms is robustly designed to prevent issues such as distortion.
We spent over two years developing this pedal, creating our ideal volume pedal without compromise. Please give it a try.


*The DVL-1L is a low-impedance volume pedal.
It is used by connecting it after devices with low output impedance, such as guitars/basses equipped with active pickups, wireless receivers, and vintage effects pedals.
* Equipped with Free The Tone's unique full-rotation belt-drive system. (Instead of the conventional mechanism that rotates the variable resistor with a string, it rotates the variable resistor with a combination of belts and gears.) * Direct Volume eliminates the unused range of the variable resistor found in conventional volume pedals. By making full use of the variable resistor, it prevents the volume drop that occurs when connecting.
*By using a belt and gears to rotate the variable resistor, the variable resistor can be rotated linearly, and the volume changes are directly linked to the pedal operation.*The belt used has a wire built in to prevent problems such as stretching or breaking due to aging.
* We use carefully selected parts to minimize changes in sound quality while maintaining a musical sound.
* The enclosure uses 5mm thick aluminum for the pedal section and a composite chassis made of aluminum and steel for the body. The robust enclosure can withstand long-term use and prevents problems such as distortion of the enclosure.

We use DHL Express for shipping.
