Bourgeois Guitars, created by guitar maker Dana Bourgeois, is a top American guitar brand, often mentioned alongside Collings and Santa Cruz.
Crafted from carefully selected materials, expert technical skills, and designs born from Dana's extensive experience, these guitars combine "high precision as musical instruments" with "a musically rich tone," earning high praise from numerous musicians.


- Downeast Series Launch Edition -
The Downeast Series is a new line from the Beaujolais brand, manufactured entirely by Eastman based on Dana Beaujolais's rigorous standards.

The Eastman craftsmen involved in this series regularly visit the Bourgeois workshop in the United States to receive direct instruction from Dana Bourgeois and master luthier James Whitkas on Bourgeois's unique "voicing" technique (tuning the guitar's soundboard).
Two years after its launch, and after practical guidance and an overwhelming number of prototypes, the DownEast series was finally born, in which every step of the process is completed solely by Eastman.

The name of the Down East series originates from maritime terminology used in the coastal region of Maine, where the Beaujolais workshop is located.
This instrument evokes the region's craftsmanship, indomitable spirit, and maritime precision, and pays tribute to the joint voyage with Eastman, who created it.

From its inception and design to its actual production, this product was created without any compromise in any aspect. It is the culmination of the collaboration between Eastman and Bourgeois, and can be described as a dream series that makes the Bourgeois sound accessible to many players.


- OMC Soloist/DE -
The Soloist is the most iconic and representative model of Beaujolais.
Featuring an OM (Orchestra) body with a distinctive shallow Venetian cutaway, this guitar boasts a beautiful silhouette. Its refined design and sound have earned it the moniker "Modern Classic," and it enjoys immense popularity, especially among fingerstyle players.
Despite its appearance, it boasts a surprisingly thick and substantial fundamental tone, and despite its OM body, it offers a wide dynamic range that makes you feel like you're playing a dreadnought. Moreover, it responds exceptionally well to picking, with the entire body vibrating smoothly even with a light strum, and when you touch it firmly, the sound image is captured without being compressed. As a result, it features a sound balance that is incredibly faithful to the nuances of the player's touch.
This model best reflects Dana's original design philosophy in both its looks and design, and this Down East series also strongly conveys that lineage.
While it's an affordable guitar with high cost performance in the 300,000 yen range, it's a truly exceptional instrument that you'll be convinced is a genuinely good guitar regardless of the price.
