Akira Takasaki of LOUDNESS highly praises this fixed wah pedal from CAT'S Factory!

The AT-222 series, a signature pedal made by CAT'S Factory, is a favorite of Akira Takasaki and is used in various situations, including on stage.
Introducing the first fixed wah pedal in the series that isn't a booster/distortion pedal!

While a fixed (half-stopped) wah sound is possible with a regular wah pedal, it's extremely difficult to produce the same half-stopped sound every time without restricting the wah pedal's function (pedal range of motion). This is especially true for switchless wah pedals or those that have become loose from heavy use.
In that respect, a fixed-type wah pedal not only produces the same sound every time, but it can also be turned on and off instantly, so there's no need to fiddle with the pedal with your foot while playing on stage.
Of course, it's also possible to use it in a more unconventional way, such as combining it with a regular wah pedal.

The AT-222FW features the same matte black finish as the 6-knob "Live or Die," with a wah control knob positioned in the upper left corner and Takasaki's "AT" logo printed in a blue gradient slightly to the right of the center.
The fixed wah effect was incorporated into the limited edition "AT-222PTW" model released on February 22, 2022, but for this standalone pedal release, further sonic improvements have been made.
From sweet tones to sharp and edgy sounds, it's tuned to Takasaki's preferences, and whether you leave it on all the time like an EQ or turn it on only during solos, it produces the perfect tone that's indispensable for hard rock.

CAT'S Factory pedals are used by leading guitarists and bassists such as Mr. Takasaki and Mr. Masayoshi Yamashita, but because they are manufactured and sold only on a direct order basis from users, new pedals are not available in music stores, and the AT-222 series is sold only at a limited number of music stores.

In recent years, due to significant increases in the cost of raw materials and transportation used in effect pedals, this is a rather expensive item for a fixed wah pedal. However, fans will undoubtedly be pleased, and many guitarists will be satisfied with its sound quality.
