Description
Description
Fender's first solid-body electric bass, the Precision Bass, was born and released in 1951. Following the success of the Precision Bass, the Jazz Bass was released later, and it continues to influence the music scene today.
This time we have a Precision Bass in stock, with a plate serial number from around 1976, the latest model, an ash body, and a natural color.
【body】
The overall weight is approximately 4.35 kg. The body is made of ash. It features Fender's familiar "Fender Thick-Skin High-Gloss" finish, which uses polyester as a base. The natural color accentuates the beauty of the wood grain. While there is some weathering, dents, and scratches, signs of wear on plastic parts, and tarnish on metal parts, the guitar is in relatively good condition. The finger rest has been replaced. Metal covers are missing.
【neck】
The neck is made of one piece of maple. There is some weather checking on the headstock and some paint peeling around the fingerboard, but like the body, it is in relatively good condition. The tuners are tarnished and the windings are inconsistent, but they still function properly. There is some wear near the low frets, but there is currently no significant choking or other issues. The headstock is 14.4mm thick. The nut width is 42.0mm. The neck has a sturdy shape.
[Electrical system]
The controls are simple, with a single pickup: master volume and master tone. The pickups have been replaced with gray bobbins and an output jack from the same period, but the other controls remain in their original condition. Enjoy the distinct yet deep sound characteristic of an ash-bodied P-bass.
